Postpartum breast care, don't do this

Postpartum breast care, don't do this

For female friends, postpartum breast care is extremely important, otherwise it is easy to experience adverse phenomena such as sagging breasts. Before breastfeeding, the mother should clean her breasts with warm water to increase breast elasticity, and also use a suitable bra.

1. Nursing methods

1. Do not let the child excessively pull on the nipples during breastfeeding. After each breastfeeding, gently lift the breasts with your hands and massage for 10 minutes.

2. Wash your breasts with warm water at least twice a day. This is not only beneficial to the cleanliness of the breasts, but also increases the elasticity of the suspensory ligaments, thereby preventing breast sagging. Using a shower head to spray the breasts alternately with hot and cold water can help increase chest skin tension and promote blood circulation in the breasts.

3. Choose a bra with appropriate tightness to achieve the best lifting effect. You should wear a bra from the beginning of breastfeeding. Without a bra, your breasts will sag noticeably due to the added weight. When wearing a bra, choose a style that is the right size and has underwire. At 3 months of pregnancy, the breasts have increased by about 2/3 of a cup size compared to before pregnancy. At this time, you can no longer wear the original bra. When choosing a new bra, make sure that the cup size should be larger or more elastic than before pregnancy.

4. The breastfeeding period should not be too long. The child should be weaned when he is 10 months old.

5. Insist on doing chest expansion exercises such as push-ups to develop and strengthen the chest muscles and enhance the support for the breasts.

6. Eating more foods rich in vitamins E and B, such as lean meat, eggs, milk, beans, sesame, etc., is also beneficial to maintaining healthy breasts.

2. Problems that should be avoided during breast care:

1. Do not squeeze with force

Special attention should be paid to this point. When the breast is squeezed by external force, the soft tissue inside the breast is easily bruised or causes internal hyperplasia. Another thing is that after being squeezed by external force, the external shape is more likely to change, causing the upturned breasts to collapse and sag.

2. Sleeping posture should be correct

The best sleeping position for women is lying on their back. Try not to lie on your side for a long time in one direction, as this will not only easily squeeze the breasts, but also easily cause imbalance in the development of both breasts. When a couple has sex, the man should try to avoid squeezing the breasts hard, otherwise there will be adverse consequences.

3. Do not wash your breasts with soap

Relevant experts point out that the frequent use of soap-like cleaning products will wash away the keratinized cells on the surface of the skin through mechanical and chemical effects, prompting cell division and proliferation. If these keratinized cells are removed frequently and continuously, the protective layer on the surface of the skin will be damaged, causing the epidermis to swell. This swelling is caused by excessive dryness, adhesion and cell shedding in the breast area.

If you repeatedly use soap or other cleaning items, it will easily alkaline the local skin of the breast. It will take a certain amount of time for the local skin of the breast to be covered with a protective layer again and to restore its acidic environment. While soap continuously alkalinizes the skin surface, it also promotes the proliferation of alkaline bacteria on the skin, making it more difficult to locally acidify the breast. In addition, washing with soap also washes away the substance that protects the local skin lubrication of the breast - the oil.
