Specific drugs for treating breast cancer

Fighting breast cancer takes time, but the long treatment process makes it unrealistic for us to go to the hospital. After all, the expensive hospital expenses are beyond our ability to afford. Experts say that if we treat breast cancer in our daily lives, the most indispensable thing is medicine. So, what are the common drugs used to treat breast cancer?

10 common drugs for treating breast cancer

1. Furui: It is a new generation of aromatase retarder. Aromatase inhibitors are generally well tolerated. However, side effects such as digestive upset, fatigue, headache, sweating and musculoskeletal pain are common.

2. Everolimus: Everolimus is a mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitor, which is an intracellular serine/threonine kinase and a central controller in cells that can recognize changes in growth factor and nutrient energy signals in cells.

3. Docetaxel injection: Docetaxel has been approved by the FDA for adjuvant treatment of advanced breast cancer. It can also be used to treat patients whose disease develops within 6 months of adjuvant treatment after unsuccessful adjuvant chemotherapy. Common side effects of docetaxel are bone marrow suppression, myalgia, arthralgia, mucositis, nausea and vomiting, as well as alopecia and jugular nerve damage.

4. Epothilone B: A new type of microtubule thickener that has the function of promoting GTP-dependent tubulin aggregation to form microtubules, and has a stabilizing effect on microtubules; by stabilizing the microtubule assembly process, it inhibits the depolymerization of microtubules, resulting in abnormal arrangement of microtubules and the formation of astrocytes, thereby inhibiting the formation of normal mitotic spindles in cells, thereby inhibiting the growth of tumor cells and even inducing their death.

5. Trastuzumab: It is a humanized monoclonal antibody derived from recombinant DNA. Its single-drug efficacy is similar to that of chemotherapy drugs, but it is not prone to side effects such as hair loss, mucositis, and hematological toxicity caused by chemotherapy drugs, and patients have very good tolerance.

6. Xeloda: It is a new generation of oral fluoropyrimidine drugs. It can be rapidly digested and absorbed in the digestive tract in the form of pyraclostrobin, and is metabolized into anti-tumor active substances in the liver and tumor tissue. At present, it has been approved for the use of taxanes and anthracyclines to treat patients with advanced breast cancer who have failed treatment with these drugs.

7. Apatinib: The chemical name of apatinib is methanesulfonic acid N-[4-(cyanocyclopentyl)phenyl]{2-[(4-pyridinylhydroxy)hydroxy](3-pyridine)}carboxamide, which is a small molecule water VEGFR inhibitor that mainly inhibits the specificity of VEGFR2 and also has a certain inhibitory effect on VEGFR1 and RET.

8. Sulai: The growth and development of breast cancer cells depends on the presence of estrogen. The estrogen in the circulation of postmenopausal women is mainly converted into androgen in the kidneys, liver, muscles and fat through the aromatase in the venous tissue. Therefore, blocking the conversion of estrogen by inhibiting aromatase is an effective and selective treatment for postmenopausal hormone-dependent breast cancer. The drug can significantly reduce the level of estrogen in the blood circulation system of menopausal women, but has no significant effect on the microbial production of corticosteroids in the kidneys.

9. Sipatinib: Sipatinib is a small molecule, multi-target, 4-anilinoquinazoline protein kinase tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits EGFR (ErbB1/EGFR) and human EGFR kinase 2 (ErbB2/HER-2).
