What is intrauterine bleeding? Is intrauterine bleeding serious?

Intrauterine bleeding is a disease that can endanger the health of female friends. It has many inducing factors. When symptoms of the disease appear, everyone must first determine the inducing factors and then carry out relevant treatment.

Western medicine

1. Systemic factors: including adverse mental trauma, stress, malnutrition, endocrine and metabolic disorders, such as iron deficiency, anemia, aplastic anemia, blood diseases and bleeding diseases, diabetes, thyroid and adrenal diseases.

2. Dysfunction of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis: including disorders of the rhythm of reproductive hormone release, feedback dysfunction, ovulation and corpus luteum dysfunction.

3. Uterine and endometrial factors: including abnormal structure and function of spiral arterioles and microcirculatory vascular beds, dysfunction of endometrial steroid receptors and lysosomes, abnormal local coagulation mechanism, and disordered secretion of prostaglandins TXA2 and PGI2.

4. Other factors: including steroidal contraceptives and intrauterine devices that interfere with the normal function of the HPOU axis. Certain drugs for systemic diseases can affect normal menstrual function through neuroendocrine mechanisms.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

1) Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency: Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency due to constitution, or damage to the spleen and kidney due to excessive sexual intercourse, frequent childbirth, long-term illness, overeating, fatigue, etc. Deficiency of spleen yang leads to a lack of control, while deficiency of kidney yang leads to failure of storage function, resulting in Chong and Ren meridians being unstable and causing functional uterine bleeding.

(2) Liver and kidney deficiency: Liver and kidney deficiency due to physical constitution, or early marriage and early childbearing, sexual exhaustion that damages sperm, and excessive miscarriages, etc., can lead to deficiency of sperm and blood, and liver and kidney yin deficiency. Yin deficiency generates internal heat, which burns the Chong and Ren meridians, forcing blood to flow abnormally and causing functional uterine bleeding.

(3) Blood stasis: Liver depression and qi stagnation lead to poor blood circulation; or coldness and blood stasis block the Chong and Ren meridians in the uterus, preventing new blood from returning to the meridians, thus causing functional uterine bleeding. If blood stasis turns into heat over time, it will burn the blood vessels and cause continuous bleeding.
