Why do women snore? Obesity is most likely to cause snoring!

Snoring occurs after a person falls asleep, and women also snore. Snoring not only affects sleep quality but is also too loud and causes trouble to people around you. Women who snore chronically have worse skin conditions. So, what causes women to snore?

Reasons why women snore:

1. Age: Although snoring occurs in everyone from children to the elderly, middle-aged men between 30 and 50 years old are indeed the group with the highest incidence of snoring. Even so, friends who are not in the susceptible group should pay more attention.

2. Anatomy: Common anatomical abnormalities of the upper respiratory tract include nasal obstruction, enlarged tonsils, enlarged tongue, tongue root prolapse, and mandibular retrusion and deformity.

3. Genetic factors: Snoring is closely related to genetic factors. Clinically, it is common to see father and son both snore, which is the best proof of the influence of genetics on snoring.

4. Bad habits such as smoking and drinking: Severe smoking and drinking will aggravate sleep apnea and even cause sudden death in sleep.

5. Long-term use of some sedative central nervous system depressants can also cause snoring.

6. Obesity and short neck: It is well known that obese people tend to snore. However, even if people are not obese, but have enlarged tonsils, enlarged tongue, and a tongue that falls back, they are still prone to snoring.
