What is the degree of breast nodule 4c?

What is the degree of breast nodule 4c?

In clinical medicine, when ultrasound is used to diagnose breast masses, the masses are often divided into grades 0-6 based on their characteristics under ultrasound imaging diagnosis, such as the size of the mass, whether the shape is standard, whether it has a lot of blood supply, and whether it is thickened. In the 0-3 range, the tumor is considered benign and can usually be kept safe with regular physical examinations. So, what is the level of breast mass 4c?

Breast lumps at level 4 or above have a certain possibility of deterioration. Level 4 is clinically divided into three sub-levels: 4a, 4b, and 4c. Among them, level 4c has a higher possibility of malignancy, which is approximately 50%-60%. Therefore, for tumors diagnosed as 4c, needle aspiration or pathological puncture biopsy must be performed for cytological examination. If it is confirmed to be a malignant tumor, surgical removal must be performed. Even if it is diagnosed as benign, it still needs to be carefully observed, and protective removal can be performed if necessary.

What does breast lump 4c mean? It means that there is a 50% to 95% chance that the lump will become malignant. This probability is relatively high, but it does not mean that it is 100% malignant. It reminds clinicians that they need to further confirm the lump. The definitive method is to confirm the diagnosis through hollow needle puncture or through pathological examination of the mass removal biopsy. If the mass is removed and the pathology report is good, the surgical treatment is completed, but it also prevents the possibility of the mass being affected in the future. If the pathology report shows malignancy, then standardized comprehensive treatment should be carried out according to the treatment standards for breast cancer.

Is a breast mass 4c definitely cancer?

Class 4C breast masses generally refer to breast ultrasound and breast mammography, which are used to conduct an assessment based on the risk factors of the mass. Generally speaking, if the operators and readers of breast B-ultrasound and mammography examinations have good technical skills, the credibility of the appraisal results will be improved. What does grade 4C mean? It means that the probability of developing breast cancer is between 50% and 94%, but it does not mean that it is definitely breast cancer. The diagnosis of breast cancer requires pathophysiological diagnosis through fine needle aspiration, core needle aspiration or surgical puncture biopsy. Ultrasound and mammography cannot be used as a definite basis for determining the characteristics of breast lumps.
