How to use sanitary napkin pads? These matters should be noted

Panty pads are an item that women need to use when their menstrual flow is light. However, for some women, questions such as when to use panty pads, how often to change panty pads, and what precautions to take when using panty pads are still unclear. Next, we will introduce in detail the correct use of panty pads.

1. When are panty liners used?

Sanitary pads are actually small and thin "mini sanitary napkins". They are mainly used in the later stages of menstruation when there is only a small amount of menstrual blood, or when there is a lot of leucorrhea and vaginal secretions, to prevent the underwear from getting wet.

2. How often should the pads be changed?

Change every 3-4 hours.

When the menstrual flow is heavy, we usually use sanitary napkins, which will feel wet every 2-3 hours, so we will unconsciously want to change the sanitary napkin. However, the amount of menstrual blood is less in the later stages of menstruation, and it is difficult for us to feel any dampness after putting on a sanitary pad, so many people don’t know how often they should change their sanitary pads.

In fact, even if there is only a small amount of secretion on the sanitary pad, it is easy to breed bacteria, especially in summer. If it is not replaced in time, it can easily cause vulvar itching. Therefore, gynecologists recommend changing sanitary pads every 3-4 hours.

3. Can the pad be used every day?

Not recommended for daily use.

One side of the pad is cotton and the other side is plastic film. It is airtight and extremely easy to breed bacteria. The chance of getting vaginitis if you use sanitary pads every day will greatly increase, especially for some girls who are lazy and use one sanitary pad a day. In this case, even if you use a pad that claims to be "ultra-breathable, ultra-thin, and ultra-dry", it is easy to get infected with inflammation.
