1. Gynecological internal examination

The doctor will conduct a gynecological examination to understand the woman's subjective symptoms, past medical history, menstrual history, etc., and with necessary vulvar and vaginal examinations, he can make a preliminary diagnosis of the disease and develop a further examination plan. This is a necessary step in the diagnosis of cervical hypertrophy.

2. Colposcopy

The colposcope is equipped with a magnifying glass with a strong light source and is a necessary item for cervical examination. The colposcope can observe slight lesions on the cervical epidermis that are invisible to the naked eye. With the assistance of 3%-5% acetic acid solution, it can distinguish whether the changes in cervical cells are abnormal lesions.

3. Cervical smear

The cervical smear test involves taking a small amount of cell sample from the cervix, placing it on a glass slide, and studying it under a microscope to see if there are any abnormalities. The doctor can detect tiny, very early changes in cervical cells. The advent of the cervical smear test has greatly reduced the mortality rate of cervical cancer.

4. TCT examination

Doctors usually determine whether TCT screening is needed based on the results of the above-mentioned cervical examinations. This examination is not a necessary item for diagnosing cervical hypertrophy. It is mainly a screening test for cancer. TCT can identify a large amount of surface detached tissue.
