What causes dry and peeling soles of feet? Or these reasons are to blame

Dry and peeling feet is a problem that many female friends have in life. This problem greatly affects the appearance of the feet, and its "cause" is puzzling. So what are the specific reasons for dry and peeling feet?

1. Seasonal dryness

The most common peeling in autumn and winter is general peeling, which is mainly caused by seasonal dryness. It is only surface peeling without symptoms such as itching and inflammation.

2. Dry dermatitis

If not only are white skin peeling off on your hands but there are also cracks on your fingers, you may have dry dermatitis. It is recommended to reduce or avoid the use of alkaline soaps for washing hands. It is recommended to use a milder hand soap. After washing your hands, apply a little hand cream and massage appropriately to ensure the hand protection effect.

3. Tinea pedis

A more serious case of peeling is "tinea pedis", which usually starts with peeling on one foot and then spreads to both feet. Red spots and inflammation appear on the soles of the feet, and there is a particularly obvious itchy sensation. Most people who have athlete's foot also suffer from tinea manuum. Tinea pedis is caused by fungal infection and is contagious, so be sure to see a doctor as soon as possible and receive prompt and thorough treatment.

4. Dyshidrosis

A more special type is peeling caused by dyshidrotic eczema. The initial symptoms are small hemispherical blisters the size of rice grains, accompanied by varying degrees of burning sensation and itching, which form peeling after drying. The cause of dyshidrotic eczema is not yet fully understood. It is generally believed to be related to excessive sweating of the hands and feet, and to allergies to metals such as nickel and chromium and some detergents. Some people also believe that it is related to emotional tension.

If you want to improve the peeling of your hands and feet in autumn and winter, you can eat more foods rich in vitamins on a daily basis, such as animal liver, egg yolks, milk, cheese, fish, shellfish, carrots, etc. The carotene in these foods can be converted into vitamin A in the body. It is also recommended that you do not choose cleansing products that are too alkaline when washing your hands. After washing, apply some skin care products, preferably oil-based ones, to keep your skin hydrated. This can effectively prevent dryness problems.
