Do you know the dangers of pelvic effusion?

There are many gynecological diseases in life that affect women's health and life, pelvic effusion is one of them. But how many women are aware of the dangers of pelvic effusion?

What is pelvic effusion?

1. Caused by inflammation

From a medical point of view, most of the causes of pelvic effusion in women are inflammation. Pelvic effusion is actually inflammatory secretions in the pelvic cavity.

2. Formed in a special period

Some ordinary women will accumulate a small amount of blood in the pelvic cavity during menstruation and ovulation, causing pelvic effusion. Pelvic effusion at this time is normal, indicating that the woman's fallopian tube is not blocked and the fallopian tube produces secretions. If the top of the fallopian tube is unobstructed, a small amount of secretions will spread to the friend, causing pelvic effusion.

3. Some special circumstances lead to

Some patients suffer from ruptured fallopian tube pregnancy, corpus luteum dehiscence, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, ovarian cancer, etc. Patients with pelvic effusion due to acute or chronic pelvic inflammatory disease generally experience pain on both sides or one side of the lower abdomen, back pain, and a history of surgical or medical abortion. The specific cause of pelvic effusion is that the serous secretions formed by inflammation are difficult to be absorbed by the human body, thus accumulating inside the body.

What are the dangers of pelvic effusion?

1. If pelvic effusion is not properly treated and regulated, it can be very harmful and can easily lead to pelvic adhesions, fallopian tube blockage, etc., leading to infertility.

If you usually have lower abdominal pain, lumbosacral pain, increased vaginal discharge, lower abdominal tenderness and cord-like thickening during gynecological examination, etc., chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is considered and active treatment is needed to prevent worsening inflammation and increased fluid accumulation.

2. Most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation, that is, by exudation from chronic pelvic inflammation. A few cases are caused by ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. It is best to perform a posterior fornix puncture examination to identify the nature of the fluid caused by pelvic inflammation.

3. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be an inflammation of the gynecological system such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. Pelvic inflammatory disease should be treated early, otherwise it will affect fertility.

Daily care of pelvic effusion

1. Hygiene precautions: Women should pay special attention to personal hygiene during menstruation and after childbirth to prevent infection. Clean the vagina with warm water every day, wear cotton underwear, and change sanitary napkins frequently.

2. Do not abuse drugs: Drugs must be used under the guidance of a doctor. If antibiotics are abused, a large amount of hormones will accumulate in women's bodies, causing lesions and causing pelvic effusion.

3. Cleanliness during sexual intercourse: Both parties should clean their reproductive parts before and after sexual intercourse to avoid introducing bacteria and causing infection.

4. Vaginal flushing: Learn the correct way to clean the vagina. It is not recommended to use medicinal cleaning solutions on a daily basis, so as not to destroy the acid and alkaline environment of the vagina, reduce local immunity, and cause vaginitis. Generally, cleaning with clean warm water is the best option.
