Does a woman ovulate before or after her period?

The reason why people can conceive children is because of the perfect combination of sperm and egg, which creates the fetus. We all know that it is women who provide the eggs. Many people don’t understand why they can’t get pregnant when their sex life is very good and they don’t take any protective measures. In fact, this problem is not only due to the woman's poor health, but also because she missed the ovulation period during sexual intercourse. The ovulation period is very important for families who want to have children. So do you know when the ovulation period is? Does a woman ovulate before or after her menstrual period?

Ovulation refers to the process in which the egg cell and the surrounding cumulus granulosa cells are released together. A woman's ovulation date is generally around 14 to 16 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for 1-2 days, waiting for fertilization; the male's sperm can maintain its fertilization ability in the female's reproductive tract for 2-3 days, so it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse a few days before and after the egg is released. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period. Because it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period.

For example, if the menstrual cycle is 30 days, the first day of this menstruation is September 29, then the next menstruation will be on October 29 (September 29 plus 30 days), and then subtract 14 days from October 29, then October 15 is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after, that is, the ten days from October 10th to 19th are the ovulation period.

The first day of ovulation = the number of days in the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days;

The last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days.

For example, the shortest menstrual period is 28 days and the longest is 37 days. You need to subtract 18 from the shortest regular period (28-18=10) and subtract 11 from the longest regular period (37-11=26). Therefore, the ovulation period is from the 10th to the 26th day after the menstrual period.

The ovulation period is very important for women. From the above introduction, we can see that the ovulation period is 14 or 15 days before menstruation. Is the ovulation period of women before or after menstruation? Looking at the introduction above, I believe that many women who want to have children already know how to schedule their ovulation day. I hope our introduction can be helpful to everyone, and I wish everyone can have a baby soon.
