If the egg released from the ovary in the middle of the menstrual period combines with the sperm, the fertilized egg will move into the uterine cavity at a time when the endometrium is thickening, rich in blood vessels and nutrients, which is conducive to the implantation of the fertilized egg. If there is no fertilization, the endometrium will be shed when the menstruation comes and the next menstrual cycle will begin. This is why some infertile women have menstruation but no ovulation.
