What is the age of menopause for women?

As women get older, their menstruation will stop. After menstruation stops, the body's endocrine system will show some symptoms of disorder, which are the symptoms of menopause. After the symptoms of menopause appear, there will be many physical discomforts or symptoms of illness. Therefore, menopause should be treated and controlled in a timely manner. So at what age do women enter menopause? Let us introduce it below.

Menopause is a period of transition from female maturity to senility between the ages of 40 and 45, marked by the gradual decline to complete disappearance of ovarian function. The age at which menopause begins varies from person to person, but it can begin at age 40 and last for about 20 years. Menopause is divided into three stages: premenopause, menopause and postmenopause. Some women will experience some special symptoms related to the decrease of sex hormones during menopause, such as early hot flashes, sweating, emotional instability, irritability, etc. The symptoms of menopause in the late stage, such as vulvar itching, vaginal dryness and pain, frequent urination, urinary incontinence, recurrent cystitis, etc., which occur due to atrophy of the urogenital tract in the late stage, as well as some non-specific symptoms that are psychological or mental, such as fatigue, dizziness, headache, depression, insomnia, etc., are called menopausal syndrome. Menopausal syndrome can be treated with both Chinese and Western medicines, and these symptoms should be treated correctly.

The precursors or early symptoms of menopause in women are relatively obvious, and menopause can be predicted through the following indicators.

1 Prediction through family heredity: Since the age of entering menopause is related to genetic factors, the age at which a grandmother, mother, or older sister enters menopause can be used as a predictor of the age at which a granddaughter, daughter, or younger sister enters menopause. However, this indicator is not absolute and can be easily affected by acquired living conditions, environment, climate, social factors, drugs, diseases and other factors, which may advance or delay menopause. 2 Predicting menopausal age from menarche age: Most people have observed and confirmed that the age of menarche is negatively correlated with the age of menopause, that is, the earlier the age of menarche, the later the age of menopause; conversely, the later the age of menarche, the earlier the age of menopause. 3 Menstrual disorders: Menstrual disorders are the manifestation of menstruation before the final menopause. The manifestations of menstrual changes can be roughly divided into three types: one is long menstrual intervals, short menstrual duration, reduced menstrual flow, and then slowly cessation of menstruation; the second is irregular menstruation, some people have long menstrual duration, heavy menstrual flow, and even heavy vaginal bleeding; some people have continuous spotting, which then gradually decreases until cessation of menstruation; the third is sudden cessation of menstruation. Menopause is one of the important indicators of entering menopause. 4 Precursors of menopause: Women generally experience certain symptoms before entering menopause. For example, the patient feels a sudden wave of heat spreading upward from the chest, neck and face. At the same time, the skin in the above-mentioned areas becomes red and is often accompanied by sweating. For example, if your menstruation is usually regular and you have no special discomfort before your period, but you suddenly experience premenstrual tension syndrome such as breast tenderness, emotional instability, insomnia, headache, abdominal distension, and limb edema before your period; in addition, emotional and mental changes such as irritability, anxiety, and suspicion are also precursors to menopause.

The age of a woman's menopause is closely related to each person's physical factors. No matter at what age women experience menopause, as long as menopause occurs, effective treatment and control should be carried out in a timely manner. This can better reduce the degree of physical pain and the possibility of other diseases. It is very important for health care.
