What is the cause of excessive vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain?

Leucorrhea is one of the most obvious physiological phenomena in adult women, and it will also change with the changes in the female body. For example, during the ovulation period, the amount of leucorrhea will increase significantly and become transparent. If the vaginal discharge is yellow or green in color, has a tofu-like consistency, and is accompanied by an odor, these are all important manifestations of an unhealthy reproductive system. So what is the reason for women suffering from excessive vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain?

Normal leucorrhea should be white, sometimes transparent, sometimes sticky, and have no odor. During adolescence, leucorrhea is affected by estrogen and undergoes cyclical changes, sometimes increasing and sometimes decreasing. During ovulation, the leucorrhea is transparent and abundant, while at other times it is less and thicker.

Increased vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain may be related to many factors. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that most of them are caused by dysfunction of the liver, spleen and kidneys, which falls into the category of "leucorrhea" in traditional Chinese medicine. Female friends must not ignore it, so as not to bring greater threats to their own health and greatly affect their normal life and work. It may be related to the following reasons:

1. During sexual intercourse, sexual excitement causes the Bartholin's glands to secrete a clear fluid to lubricate the vaginal opening, allowing for sexual intercourse, and is accompanied by lower abdominal pain.

2. During ovulation or pregnancy, the increase in estrogen levels may increase the secretion of cervical glands.

3. Most of the semen ejaculated into the vagina during sexual intercourse flows out of the body and is mistakenly regarded as increased leucorrhea. Therefore, we should first distinguish whether the increase in leucorrhea is physiological or pathological.

4. Before and after menstruation, vaginal and uterine secretions increase due to pelvic congestion.

Traditional Chinese medicine reminds: In addition to the above reasons, increased vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain are also symptoms of chronic cervicitis in women. Clinically, there may be cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, cervical glandular cysts and endocervicitis. Among them, cervical erosion is the most common. It is recommended to discover and seek medical treatment in time.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, excessive leucorrhea and lower abdominal pain are mostly caused by dysfunction of the liver, spleen, and kidneys in our body, which is commonly known as "leucorrhea disease." However, leucorrhea is also a barometer of the health of women's reproductive system. Once abnormal leucorrhea occurs, you must not sit idly by and ignore it. You should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
