The best treatment for cervicitis

The best treatment for cervicitis

The basic principle of physical therapy is to use various physical methods to destroy the epithelial cells on the surface of cervical erosion, so that they will necrotize and fall off, and then be covered by the newborn squamous epithelium. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks, and about 6 to 8 weeks for those with deeper diseases, and the cervix becomes smooth. In the past, the most common method was electric ironing. In recent years, new therapeutic devices have been introduced one after another. Laser surgery, liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, infrared induction coagulation therapy, and microwave heating therapy have been used in clinical medicine.

The various treatment methods are exactly the same. The treatment time is set to be carried out within 3 to 7 days after the menstrual period is over, and those with acute genital inflammation are contraindicated. After various physical treatments, there will be an increase in female secretions, and even a large amount of watery fluid. There will be a small amount of bleeding during the depilation process 1 to 2 weeks after the operation. During the period when the wound has not completely healed (4 to 8 weeks), sitting baths, sexual intercourse and vaginal washing are prohibited. After treatment, regular follow-up visits are required to observe the healing of the wound until it is cured. During the follow-up visit, pay attention to whether there is cervical stenosis.

Medication

Partial medication is suitable for cases with small erosion area and shallow inflammation. In the past, some parts were coated with silver nitrate or etched with chromic acid, but this is rarely used now. There are many secret recipes and prescriptions for Chinese medicinal materials, which have certain efficacy in clinical medical application. Systemic medication is suitable for endocervicitis, in which the cervix is smooth in appearance and there is purulent discharge in the endocervical canal. The inflamed area here is ineffective due to medication and requires systemic treatment. Take cervical canal secretions for culture and drug sensitivity tests, and search for gonococci and mycoplasma at the same time. Choose the corresponding anti-infection drugs based on the test results.

Ablation surgery

This method can be used for cases where the erosion covers a large area and the inflammation has not been cured for a long time. It can be cured in one go, with little trauma during the operation and no scars left after the operation. It is currently the best method.
