What causes women's lower abdomen to swell and backache?

Whether it is an adolescent woman or a married woman, any disease in the body should be actively treated, find out why this condition occurs, and then choose the right medicine. So what is the reason for women's lower abdominal distension and back pain? It may be that there is something abnormal in the body, or it may be a menstrual problem. Let us learn about it together.

A woman's lower abdomen feels distended and has back pain, which is clinically often caused by gynecological diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease and adnexitis, and can only be diagnosed after examination in the hospital. For the treatment of diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease and adnexitis, early treatment is required. There are many reasons that cause lower abdominal distension and lower back pain in women. In addition to pelvic inflammatory disease and adnexitis, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, and ovulation can also cause symptoms such as lower abdominal distension and lower back pain.

1. Dysmenorrhea Dysmenorrhea can be divided into primary and secondary. Dysmenorrhea in which no obvious abnormalities of the uterus or pelvis are found during gynecological examination is primary dysmenorrhea, and the spontaneous healing rate of this type of dysmenorrhea may increase with age. Because the occurrence of primary dysmenorrhea is sometimes related to endocrine factors, taking contraceptives after marriage to inhibit ovulation can make dysmenorrhea disappear. If there are obvious lesions in the reproductive organs, such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, tumors, etc., dysmenorrhea is called secondary dysmenorrhea. When the pain of dysmenorrhea is severe, the patient will become pale, sweat, have cold hands and feet, feel nauseous, vomit, and even faint and collapse. Therefore, long-term dysmenorrhea cannot be ignored, especially for women of childbearing age, as minor dysmenorrhea may affect fertility.

2. Endometriosis Patients with endometriosis may experience symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, infertility, fever, dyspareunia and acute abdominal pain. The endometrium should grow in the uterine cavity. If it grows outside the uterine cavity (except the myometrium), it is endometriosis. The characteristic of this disease is progressive dysmenorrhea, in which the pain gradually increases with the severity of the lesion.

3. Ovulation abdominal pain Some girls always experience abdominal pain half a month after the menstruation is over. Generally, it manifests as dull pain or bloating, sometimes on the left and sometimes on the right, and lasts for a short time. Because the ovaries on both sides ovulate alternately, abdominal pain occurs alternately in the lower abdomen on both sides, sometimes accompanied by bleeding. Girls or women of childbearing age may experience abdominal pain between menstruation, which is the time of ovulation and will stop on its own after one or two days. Gynecologists call this type of abdominal pain "ovulation abdominal pain" or "ovulation abdominal pain." In addition to gynecological diseases, there are many other diseases that can be accompanied by a feeling of abdominal distension, such as intestinal inflammation, appendicitis, acute cystitis, etc., which can only be diagnosed after a detailed and targeted physical examination. Therefore, women who experience lower abdominal distension and back pain must go to the hospital for examination first.

Although abdominal distension and back pain in women are not very serious diseases, if this happens to you, you should not take it lightly. First, observe whether this phenomenon lasts too long. Secondly, check your diet and do not eat irritating foods or foods that should not be eaten.
