Is high-risk HPV positive 56 serious?

There are many types of high-risk HPV infection, the most serious of which are HPV16 and HPV18 infections. These two types can be definitely related to the occurrence of cervical cancer. Well, as for other HPV-positive ones, some can actually be eliminated based on one's own immune function. There are also many treatments now, such as recombinant human interferon a-2b gel and extracellular matrix, whose effects are relatively established and certain. So is a high-risk HPV positive 56 serious?

Is a high-risk HPV positive 56 serious?

HPV 56 positive is not serious. HPV 56 positive only proves that there is HPV 56 virus infection in the cervix or vagina.

If the result of cervical cytology TCT test is negative, it means that there is no change in cervical squamous cell cytology. This situation can basically be eliminated by the body's own resistance or by medication. Most of the time, the test will be found to be negative when it is re-tested after half a year or a year.

If HPV 56 remains positive and/or TCT examination reveals abnormalities, colposcopy and intravaginal CT are recommended. Determine whether there is cervical epithelial cell degeneration or cervical cancer, early diagnosis and early treatment, because only persistent HPV infection can cause cervical epithelial cell degeneration, or even cervical cancer.

What should I do if I test positive for high-risk HPV?

Only a small percentage of high-risk HPV positive cases will develop into significant cervical lesions. The vast majority of HPV infections are transient and can be eliminated on their own without causing related symptoms. If the test finds that the high-risk HPV is positive, further examination should be carried out according to the doctor's instructions. If the cervix has not been diseased and the cytology and histopathology are normal, no treatment is required, but regular follow-up is required, and regular return visits should be made under the specific guidance of the doctor. You should exercise more, improve nutrition and diet, release stress, and develop good habits.
