What to do if pregnant women have oral inflammation

I believe many of my friends have suffered from oral inflammation, and common cavity inflammations include oral ulcers, periodontitis, etc. Generally speaking, people can treat and solve minor oral diseases by themselves. However, there are some people who cannot take medicine casually, and that is pregnant women. We all know that once oral inflammation occurs, it is very uncomfortable and difficult to eat. So how to treat oral inflammation in pregnant women? Let’s take a look at it below.

It is very important for women of childbearing age to have their oral health checked and treated before becoming pregnant. During pregnancy, due to changes in hormone levels in pregnant women, oral diseases such as pregnancy gingivitis, periodontitis, pericoronitis of wisdom teeth and the resulting maxillofacial space infection are easily induced.

Pregnant women with oral inflammation are advised to drink wild chrysanthemum and honeysuckle in boiling water and gargle. It has the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, relieving inflammation and swelling. It is relatively safe and has no toxic side effects on adults and fetuses.

How to treat oral ulcers in pregnant women?

1. Rinse your mouth with strong tea, because tea contains a variety of vitamins, which can prevent and treat various inflammations and have a certain auxiliary therapeutic effect on the recovery of oral ulcers.

2. Take dipyridamole (persantin) orally. The daily dosage is calculated as 3 to 5 mg per kilogram of body weight. Then take it orally in 2 to 3 times for 3 to 6 days. Most patients can be cured.

3. Grind vitamin B2 into fine powder, mix it with appropriate amount of sesame oil, make it into a thin paste, and apply it on the surface of the ulcer, 4 to 6 times a day. It has good effects such as being non-bitter, non-astringent, fragrant, non-irritating, and analgesic. Generally, oral ulcers can be cured after 2 to 3 days of continuous use.

4. Use a needle to pierce the vitamin E capsule, squeeze out the liquid and apply it to the oral ulcer. Leave it on for 1 minute. Use it 4 times a day, after meals and before going to bed. It usually heals in 3 days.

I believe that after reading the above content, everyone will have a general understanding of how to solve the problem of oral diseases in pregnant women. Generally speaking, if it is a mild oral disease, it is not recommended for pregnant women to take medicine to treat the oral disease casually, because of the concern that the medicine will affect the fetus. However, if the oral disease is very serious, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment in time.
