What to do if a pregnant woman has oral gingivitis

Every woman will go through an important stage in her life, that is pregnancy. With the upcoming arrival of a new life, it is very difficult for pregnant women during this period. It is extremely inconvenient for them to move around in life and work, and their bodies are prone to many discomforts. And you are not allowed to eat anything or take any medicine. Many women suffer from oral gingivitis during pregnancy, which is very uncomfortable. So what should pregnant women do when their oral gingivitis is inflamed?

Take metronidazole orally, 0.4 grams each time, twice a day (0.2 grams each time, twice a day for children under 12 years old), for 1 to 5 days, which can relieve pain, eliminate congestion, and heal ulcers; or place an appropriate amount of metronidazole on the toothbrush, moisten it with water and brush your teeth, 2 to 3 times a day. The effect will be better if the medicine can be kept in the mouth for a longer time; you can also use metronidazole and acetylspiramycin to make a mouthwash, 3 to 4 times a day, 10 to 20 ml each time, gargle for 3 to 5 minutes, with 5 days as a course of treatment, usually 1 to 3 courses of treatment will be effective.

Grind vitamin C into powder. If it is a small ulcer, just apply a small amount to the affected area. If the ulcer is large, you should first gently scrape off the exudate from the ulcer surface, and then apply the powder. Take the medicine 2 to 3 times a day. For small ulcers, it can be cured after 1 to 2 times of medication. For large ulcers, it can be cured after 2 to 3 times of medication. The pain can be significantly relieved and the ulcer surface can be healed in 2 to 3 days.

In life, there are many ways to treat oral gingivitis, such as gargling with salt water, drinking light salt water, etc. However, for pregnant women, you must be cautious when choosing a treatment method. If the method used may harm the fetus, it must not be used. If the gingivitis is not particularly serious, you can choose some of the above small folk remedies for treatment.
