What should pregnant women do if their mouths get ulcerated?

If you find bubbles in your mouth or sores at the corners of your mouth after pregnancy, it is mostly caused by excessive inflammation during pregnancy, which may be caused by excessive stomach fire or bacterial or viral infection. The skin of the lips is very thin, and even the slightest tearing or peeling can easily lead to bacterial infection. Pay more attention to oral hygiene after pregnancy and try to brush your teeth twice a day to effectively avoid infection. Usually, drink more water and eat more vegetables.

The signs of getting a fever are often seen in changes in the mouth, such as blisters or sores at the corners of the mouth. Since the lips have a very thin epidermal structure and are subject to high levels of movement, they are the place where moisture in the human body evaporates the fastest, so these symptoms are more likely to appear when you get a sore throat.

Pay attention to adjusting your diet and avoid being picky eaters. Eat more green leafy fresh vegetables, radishes, carrots and various fruits, and appropriately increase the intake of foods rich in B vitamins such as soy products, eggs, lean meat, animal liver, etc. to prevent riboflavin deficiency.

Pay attention to facial cleanliness, hygiene and moisturizing care. You should wash your face promptly after meals and dry the corners of your mouth; when the weather is cold and dry, you should apply some moisturizer locally frequently. When your lips and corners of your mouth are dry and flaky, you can apply anti-cracking oil, such as Vaseline, cod liver oil or oily skin care cream, but never apply glycerin, because glycerin is not oil, it has a dehydrating effect and will dry out the skin.

Developing the habit of drinking boiled water regularly is beneficial to improving the moisture of the body and skin. If you wait until your mouth is dry before drinking water, your body will become dehydrated.

If you have a habit of drooling, you should actively correct it. When the corners of your mouth become cracked and bleed, you should clean them with warm or hot water immediately. Do not apply saliva. Saliva contains sugar and starch, which can more easily become nutrients for bacteria, causing them to grow. When the wound on your mouth forms a scab, do not tear it off forcibly; let it fall off on its own.
