What should I do one week before my period?

Menstruation comes every month for girls. We all know some issues that should be paid attention to before menstruation. If we don’t pay attention, it will cause menstrual disorders and stomach pain. When we are old, we will also experience numbness in our hands and feet. So in order to have a healthy body in the future, you should start laying the foundation for your future health now. The main issues that should be paid attention to before menstruation are as follows.

Pay attention to hygiene and prevent infection. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the external genitalia. It is not advisable to take a bath during menstruation, but you can take a shower to prevent ascending infection. The sanitary napkins used should be soft, clean and changed frequently. Pay attention to keeping warm and avoid cold stimulation: such as swimming, cold water baths, going into paddy fields, etc. If you are exposed to sudden and excessive cold stimulation during menstruation, it may cause too little menstrual blood or dysmenorrhea.

Keep a happy spirit and avoid mental stimulation and mood swings. Avoid overwork, avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, alcoholic and other irritating foods, drink plenty of water, keep bowel movements smooth, reduce pelvic congestion, pay attention to proper rest and maintain adequate sleep. Some inappropriate behaviors of women during menstruation are as follows: emotional excitement. During menstruation, you should keep a happy mood as usual, prevent mood swings, don't get excited when encountering things, and it is extremely important to maintain a stable mood. For example, emotional excitement, depression and anger often cause qi stagnation, which in turn leads to late menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, etc. Since all activities of the human body are carried out under the regulation of neurohumoral factors, this normal cyclical physiological change of women, especially the changes in endocrine hormone levels, can directly or indirectly affect their mental state and learning efficiency.

Due to the sudden drop in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body, the spiral arterioles in the uterus may rupture, and the uterus may be detached, necrotic, and fall off, causing a series of uncomfortable reactions in the human body. Coupled with some psychological factors such as dizziness, fatigue and other symptoms, they can lead to low work efficiency and bad mood. After entering the proliferative period, the egg cells gradually grow and develop, secrete estrogen, and the uterus repairs and proliferates, just like a dead tree coming into being in spring. The body's functional activities gradually become balanced, and the person's spirit, learning, and work efficiency also enter a good state. As the secretory period approaches, after the egg matures and is released, the levels of progesterone and estrogen increase and reach a certain proportion, the endometrium continues to thicken, the endometrium has adequate blood supply, and neuroendocrine activity is stable, which makes people's work enthusiasm and efficiency reach a high level. However, before the menstrual period, the levels of estrogen and progesterone begin to decline again, and the next menstrual period follows. It can be seen that the different reactions that women experience at different stages of the menstrual cycle are closely related to the body's biological structure.

It is best not to wash your face and feet with cold water when you have your period, because we all know that diseases come from the feet. If the feet are often cold, it will lead to rheumatism and some other serious diseases. Gynecological diseases are not to be ignored by female friends. Take care of your body, health is king.
