Infertility: The thick and purulent secretions of the cervix are not conducive to the passage of sperm and can cause infertility.

Increased vaginal discharge: Increased vaginal discharge is the main symptom of cervical erosion, and some are even symptoms. Due to the different pathogens, the scope and degree of inflammation, the amount, properties, color and taste of vaginal discharge are also different. It can be milky white mucus, sometimes light yellow, purulent or bloody, or bleed afterwards.

Vulvar itching and pain: Vulvar and vaginal itching and pain may be caused by irritation due to increased leucorrhea or vaginitis.

Pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region: When the inflammation is severe, it can spread along the uterosacral ligament to the pelvic cavity, causing symptoms such as low back pain, pelvic pain, and dysmenorrhea, which worsens during the menstrual cycle, bowel movements, or diarrhea. If the inflammation spreads to the main ligament, pain may occur and affect sexual life.

Frequent urination, painful urination, etc.: Inflammation of the cervix can spread through the lymph nodes or directly spread to the connective tissue around the bladder, and even to the trigone of the bladder, thereby stimulating the bladder to cause symptoms of frequent urination and painful urination, and sometimes secondary urinary tract infection.

Cervical erosion refers to the complete peeling of the cervical mucosa in the vagina, exposing the rough tissue surface at the bottom, like an ulcer, without epithelial coverage. Usually, a circle of varying sizes or irregular red areas covered with a single layer of columnar epithelium can be seen on the cervix in the vagina.
