Causes of Second-Degree Cervicitis

Causes of Second-Degree Cervicitis

Women are still quite afraid of getting gynecological diseases. Second-degree cervicitis is one of the more familiar ones. When treating a patient, the doctor must make sure to find out the cause of the disease so that the treatment can be more targeted. Gynecologists say that there are three main causes of secondary cervicitis, namely unclean sexual life, frequent miscarriages and excessive cleaning. Let’s take a closer look at these causes.

Causes of cervical erosion include:

1. Unclean sexual life: During sexual intercourse, the penis and cervix are in direct contact. If men do not pay attention to sexual hygiene, they can directly bring bacteria into the vagina, infect the cervix, and cause chronic cervicitis.

2. Multiple artificial abortions: Repeated artificial abortions can cause varying degrees of cervical damage, giving bacteria an opportunity to take advantage. Due to the stimulation of inflammation, local secretions increase, and the cervix is immersed in inflammatory secretions for a long time, which will cause erosion.

3. Excessive cleaning: Some women often use high-concentration disinfectant to flush the vagina, which will affect the ecological balance in the vagina, hinder the growth of normal flora, reduce its ability to inhibit bacteria, and eventually cause erosion.

Second degree cervical erosion is the most serious degree of cervical erosion, and the erosion area has reached 1/3 to 2/3 of the cervical surface; if it develops into third degree cervical erosion, the chances of infertility and cancer will greatly increase. There are generally three types of cervical erosion: mild, moderate and severe. If a woman of childbearing age has mild cervical erosion and does not have any symptoms, she may not need treatment. There are some physiological factors that lead to erosion.

Cervical erosion is a common cervical disease among women. Some female friends are very worried and scared when the examination report shows that they have second-degree cervical erosion during cervical disease examination.

Cervical erosion can be divided into cervical erosion degree 1, cervical erosion degree 2, and cervical erosion degree 3 according to the degree of erosion. Second degree cervical erosion means that the erosion area occupies between 1/3 and 2/3 of the area of the cervix. It is more serious than the first degree cervical erosion and slightly lighter than the third degree cervical erosion. If cervical erosion of degree 2 is not treated, it can have serious consequences.

If cervical erosion of degree 2 is not treated in time, it will turn into cervical erosion of degree 3, which will increase the harm to the body. When cervical erosion worsens, it can cause female infertility. When cervical erosion occurs, especially moderate or severe cervical erosion, cervical secretions will increase significantly, become thick in texture, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will have an adverse effect on sperm motility, hinder sperm from entering the uterine cavity, and affect conception.

The main causes of second-degree cervicitis are those introduced in the above article. I hope that women who have already suffered from this disease can refer to these to find their own causes. The sooner the better, so that time can be saved and they can recover faster. If you have not yet developed secondary cervicitis, you must pay more attention to it and avoid these three factors, so that the chance of getting the disease will be much smaller.
