How to treat mastitis?

Many female friends have problems with their breasts, all kinds of problems, some are due to poor blood circulation caused by children not drinking breast milk properly, and there are various other reasons. When some friends find out that they have mastitis, they will panic and magnify the problem to be the same as breast cancer. In fact, mastitis is not so serious and terrible. When we use the right method and it is benign, timely treatment of mastitis can be cured. Let's take a look at the methods of curing mastitis.

Having mastitis can cause great distress to the patient and his or her family. It not only causes pain to the patient, but also affects the feeding of the baby. Choosing a better method and curing mastitis as soon as possible is what every patient mother wants. When treating mastitis, you cannot treat it blindly. You must choose the appropriate treatment method based on your own condition.

If you find that you have mastitis, you should not stop breastfeeding your child. The milk in the early stage of the disease will not be affected. Stopping breastfeeding will not only affect the baby, but also increase the accumulation of milk. Therefore, when you feel breast pain, swelling or even local redness of the skin, let your baby suck out as much milk as possible from your breasts.

The key to preventing mastitis is to avoid milk accumulation, prevent nipple damage, and keep nipples clean. The nipples should be cleaned promptly after feeding the baby. If the nipples are inverted, they can be corrected by squeezing and pulling them frequently. Do not let the baby sleep with the nipple in his mouth. Try to let the baby suck out the milk after each breastfeeding. At the same time, pay attention to the baby's oral hygiene. If the nipple is damaged or cracked, it needs timely treatment.

Suppurative mastitis

The symptoms of acute suppurative mastitis are mainly local skin redness, swelling, heat and pain. The symptoms of this type of mastitis during lactation include obvious nodules and increased tenderness. At the same time, the patient may experience systemic symptoms such as chills, high fever, headache, weakness and rapid pulse. At this time, swollen lymph nodes may appear in the armpits, which are tender and the white blood cell count in blood tests may be elevated. If the symptoms of this lactation mastitis are severe, it may be accompanied by sepsis.

Acute simple mastitis

The main symptoms of acute simple lactation mastitis are breast pain, local high skin temperature, tenderness, and the appearance of nodules with unclear boundaries and tenderness.

Abscess formation stage: Due to ineffective treatment measures or further aggravation of the disease, symptoms of mastitis during lactation may include local tissue necrosis and liquefaction, and infection foci of varying sizes may fuse together to form abscesses.
