How to treat uterine prolapse? Can I use a pessary?

Some women may experience uterine prolapse due to excessive force during childbirth; others may suffer from uterine prolapse due to congenital maldevelopment; and as women age, uterine prolapse may occur due to the relaxation of the ligaments in the uterus. After uterine prolapse occurs, it is important to pay attention to timely treatment to avoid further aggravation of the condition. So, how should it be treated?

The treatment of uterine prolapse can be divided into three types: general supportive therapy, non-surgical therapy and surgical therapy.

General supportive therapy is to pay attention to strengthening the physical fitness, improving nutrition, avoiding increased abdominal pressure and heavy physical labor, maintaining smooth bowel movements, and treating chronic cough.

Nonsurgical treatment

It is suitable for patients with severe grade I, mild grade II, weak constitution or who cannot tolerate surgery due to other diseases. A pessary may be used in conjunction with general supportive care. The pessary method is simple, safe, economical and easy to use. The commonly used pessaries in my country include various types such as trumpet-shaped, ring-shaped, and ball-shaped.

Surgical treatment is suitable for cases where conservative treatment fails or for severe grade II or grade III uterine prolapse. The appropriate surgical method should be selected based on the patient's age, fertility requirements and overall health.

Tips:

1. 200 grams of crucian carp, 20 grams of astragalus, and 8 grams of fried aurantium. Gut the crucian carp, remove impurities, wash and set aside. First boil Astragalus and Citrus aurantium in water for 30 minutes, then add crucian carp and continue to fry until the fish is cooked, then eat the fish and drink the soup.

2. 2 eggs, 30 grams of Polygonum multiflorum, 50 grams of millet, and a little white sugar. Wrap the Polygonum multiflorum with gauze and cook it with millet into porridge. When it is almost cooked, beat in an egg and add sugar. Mix well and it is done. Discard the Polygonum multiflorum and drink the porridge. Twice a day.

3. Kill an old hen, remove the hair and internal organs, wash it, put 20 grams of He Muwu into the chicken's belly, add appropriate amount of water and cook until the meat is tender, season with salt and MSG, and eat the meat and drink the soup. Suitable for uterine prolapse, hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse.

In addition to surgical and non-surgical treatments, uterine prolapse can also be treated with some traditional Chinese medicine remedies, which are also very effective. If you suffer from uterine prolapse, you should pay attention to reducing the possibility of heavy physical labor, strenuous activities, and pressure on the abdomen to avoid worsening of the condition.
