What are the clinical manifestations of threatened abortion?

The thing that women fear most after pregnancy is miscarriage. Generally, the most significant feature of miscarriage is the possibility of bleeding. Everyone knows that miscarriage will affect women's health, but not all miscarriages will cause bleeding. Therefore, only by understanding it well can we respond in time, so that we can save the baby and will not affect the life of the adult. So let's learn with the editor below!

[Clinical manifestations]

The main symptoms are abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. Threatened miscarriage is characterized by a small amount of discharge, mild lower abdominal pain, no discharge of pregnancy products, or accompanied by back pain and prolapse. If miscarriage is inevitable, there will be heavy vaginal bleeding that exceeds the menstrual volume, no discharge of pregnancy products, increased abdominal pain, prolapse, or rupture of the amniotic membrane. Incomplete abortion is manifested by heavy, persistent vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, discharge of pregnancy products, and even hemorrhagic shock.

Complete abortion is characterized by a decrease or cessation of vaginal bleeding and disappearance of abdominal pain after the products of conception are expelled. Most cases of missed abortion have a history of threatened abortion, after which the uterus no longer increases in size or decreases in size. If the pregnancy is already in the second trimester, the abdomen does not increase in size and there is no fetal movement. Habitual miscarriage refers to three or more consecutive spontaneous abortions, each occurring in the same month of pregnancy.

Vaginal bleeding can be divided into light bleeding and heavy bleeding, continuous bleeding and irregular bleeding. Although bleeding is often considered the first sign of miscarriage, vaginal bleeding during the first three months of pregnancy is normal. However, if vaginal bleeding is accompanied by pain, this requires special attention because it may be a sign of miscarriage.

There may be persistent pain in the pelvis, abdomen, or lower back. Once vaginal bleeding symptoms appear, pain may begin a few hours or days later.

Vaginal blood clots, vaginal discharge of blood clots or grayish tissue.

Generally, threatened miscarriage has typical symptoms. Gynecological examination shows that the cervix is not dilated and the size of the uterus is consistent with the month of menopause. However, B-ultrasound often shows that the embryo or fetus is alive, so if you can get timely treatment, your child may be safe. However, miscarriage does not happen without reason, and it is definitely related to your usual living habits, so women who are pregnant should always pay attention.
