Many women will find some blood streaks before their menstruation, especially blood streaks in their leucorrhea. This is very abnormal, because if women have blood streaks during menstruation, the fixed time period is 5 to 7 days. There are two types of blood streaks in menstruation recently, which are physiological and pathological. What is going on? Is it ovulation bleeding or cervicitis? Let's introduce it to you below! Generally speaking, some women will experience ovulation bleeding during their ovulation period, also known as mid-menstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. These are all physiological reasons for the presence of blood in leucorrhea. The cause of bloody vaginal discharge may be cervicitis. Increased vaginal discharge and blood in the vaginal discharge are typical manifestations of cervicitis. Cervicitis can occur in women of any age, and chronic cervicitis is the most common clinically. Most patients with acute cervicitis are asymptomatic. Symptomatic patients mainly present with increased vaginal discharge, which is mucopurulent. Stimulation of the discharge can cause vulvar itching and burning sensation. In addition, symptoms such as intermenstrual bleeding and bleeding after sexual intercourse may occur. If combined with urinary tract infection, urinary urgency, frequent urination and pain may occur. If it is a Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection, due to the involvement of the paraurethral glands and Bartholin's glands, congestion and edema of the urethral and vaginal opening mucosa as well as a large amount of purulent secretions may be seen. Chronic cervicitis is mostly asymptomatic. A small number of patients may have increased vaginal discharge, which is light yellow or purulent, bleeding after sexual intercourse, bleeding between menstruation, and occasional irritation from the discharge causing vulvar itching and discomfort. Gynecological examination may reveal erosive changes in the cervix, or yellow secretions covering or flowing out of the cervical opening. It may also manifest as cervical polyps or cervical hypertrophy. You can check yourself based on the above symptoms. If you are still unsure, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a detailed gynecological examination, including a routine leucorrhea test, and then seek timely treatment. During the treatment period, the diet should be as light as possible, and spicy and irritating foods should be avoided. |
