When a woman has any discomfort, she will go for some gynecological examinations, and gynecological examinations naturally include B-ultrasound. Among gynecological diseases, uterine fibroids can be detected through B-ultrasound examinations. So what are the main manifestations of uterine fibroids during B-ultrasound examination? Let’s take a look at the main manifestations of several types of uterine fibroids during B-ultrasound examination.

1. Submucosal uterine fibroids. This type of uterine fibroids usually grows into the uterus. When it is a single uterine fibroid, the shape of the uterus is normal, but the volume will increase as the uterine fibroids grow. Under B-ultrasound, this type of uterine fibroid can be seen with changes in the echo of the uterine wall, from the normal straight line to an arc shape.

2. Intramural fibroids. When you have intramural fibroids, the uterus will expand unevenly and deform, and there will be localized protrusions. There will be a certain shrinkage in the uterine cavity. Under B-ultrasound, it can be seen that the uterus is abnormally deformed, and there will be ring-shaped or elliptical echoes, and the surface will show "dark ring surrounding sign".

3. Subserosal fibroids. This type of uterine fibroids is usually found as a relatively large lump. There is an actual mass protruding inward from the uterus. Most of them are connected to the uterus, with irregular shapes and clear boundaries with surrounding tissues. This type of uterine fibroids is difficult to distinguish from uterine and ovarian tumors if only examined by B-ultrasound, so it needs to be combined with other examinations to achieve a better diagnosis.

When examining uterine fibroids, due to their different types, different growth and development sites, etc., the symptoms they show under B-ultrasound are also different. Most of them can be diagnosed through B-ultrasound, but for some uterine fibroids that cannot be definitely diagnosed, other methods can be used for further examination and diagnosis.

In any case, for uterine fibroids, if diagnosed under B-ultrasound examination, timely treatment is very important. Therefore, it is recommended that patients diagnosed with uterine fibroids must take timely treatment measures for treatment and control. At the same time, for some women suspected of having uterine fibroids, they should also be examined and diagnosed in time to eliminate the disease.
