What causes acne on the left cheek?

Children in adolescence are prone to acne, which is caused by changes in the hormones that lift the eyebrows of children during this stage. Adolescents have strong yang energy in their bodies and like to overeat, eat puffed foods, and spicy and fishy foods. This will cause strong heat in the body and cause blood heat, which will manifest as facial acne. If acne occurs, go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid worsening of the condition due to untimely treatment.

It is related to three main factors: hypersecretion of male hormones and sebaceous glands in the human body, excessive keratinization of the hair follicle ducts, and massive reproduction of microorganisms such as Propionibacterium acnes in the hair follicles.

Hyperfunction of hormones and sebaceous glands When people enter puberty, the secretion of sex hormones in the body increases. If the secretion of androgen increases, it will stimulate the sebaceous gland cells, causing the sebaceous glands to enlarge, the secretion activity to increase, and a large amount of sebum to accumulate in the sebaceous glands.

Excessive keratinization of the hair follicle ducts. Androgen can promote excessive keratinization of the epithelial cells at the opening of the hair follicles, causing the hair follicle infundibulum and the sebaceous gland ducts to be blocked by keratin, leading to sebum excretion disorders, resulting in accumulation in the sebaceous glands and forming acne.

The microbial proliferation organisms in the hair follicles, Propionibacterium acnes that parasitize the hair follicles, multiply in large numbers and produce esterase, protease and hyaluronidase. Lipolytic enzyme breaks down acylglycerol in sebum into free fatty acids. Free fatty acids, proteases and hyaluronidase stimulate the funnel of hair follicles and the wall of acne cysts, causing spongy degeneration and even the formation of tiny cracks. The contents of acne enter the area around the hair follicles through tiny cracks, and the inflammation spreads to the dermal connective tissue, causing inflammatory granulomas and forming nodules. When acne is exposed on the surface of the skin, it is contaminated by dust or oxidized by air and becomes black dots, commonly known as blackheads. In severe cases, pigmented scars will remain after healing.

Pay attention to your eating habits and eat a light diet, avoid spicy foods, and reduce the intake of sugar, fat, and starchy foods. The use of inferior cosmetics: such as iodide, bromide, and halide, will stimulate the sebaceous glands to increase secretion and cause acne. Avoid emotionality and reduce the burden of life and study.
