Why is vaginitis so stubborn and difficult to cure?

Most women have gynecological diseases to varying degrees. Among all gynecological diseases, vaginitis is the most common. In fact, the female vagina itself has a certain protective effect. It is just that women do not pay attention to hygiene or sexual transmission, etc., which leads to vaginitis in women. Women with vaginitis know that vaginitis is difficult to treat, not easy to cure, and more stubborn. What should we do when facing vaginitis?

Gynecological inflammation is a very troublesome and helpless thing for most women. In fact, under normal circumstances, the female vagina has two natural barriers, namely the labia majora and minora closing the "gateway" on the outside, and secretions inside containing vaginal lactobacilli, which make the vagina acidic and help kill bacteria and maintain health.

However, because the vagina is connected to the perineum outside, adjacent to the urethra and anus, and connected to the cervix inside, if the cleanliness of the vagina and its surrounding organs is neglected, especially unclean or chaotic sexual intercourse, it is very easy to cause infection and vaginitis, affecting women's physical and mental health, and even harming their offspring. So if you accidentally get vaginitis, please be sure to use medication properly.

Causes and drug treatments of six types of vaginitis

1. Trichomonas vaginitis: Trichomonas vaginitis is a common gynecological disease, and the pathogen is Trichomonas vaginalis. The main modes of transmission are through the bathtub, shower, poorly disinfected medical equipment or unclean sexual intercourse.

2. Candida vaginitis: Candida vaginitis is also a common gynecological disease, and the pathogen is Candida albicans. Candidal vaginitis is mainly caused by infection due to unclean or chaotic sexual intercourse.

3. Gonorrheal vaginitis: In recent years, the incidence of gonorrhea has been increasing. Gonococcal vaginitis is not uncommon in gynecology. The pathogen is gonococcus, which can be transmitted through unclean or promiscuous sexual intercourse and sexual intimacy.

4. Haemophilus vaginitis: Haemophilus vaginitis is one of the sexually transmitted diseases. Its pathogen is Gram-negative Haemophilus, which is directly transmitted through unclean sexual intercourse or sexual intimacy.

5. Chlamydia trachomatis vaginitis: Chlamydia trachomatis vaginitis is the most serious sexually transmitted disease, and the pathogen is Chlamydia trachomatis. The disease usually develops 2 to 3 weeks after infection and seriously affects the urogenital organs of men and women, characterized by mild pain and exudation.

6. Chancroid vaginitis: Chancroid vaginitis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by chancroid streptococcus infection, which is transmitted through unclean sexual intercourse. After an incubation period of about 1 to 5 days, one or several small red papules appear on the labia majora and minora, which quickly rupture and expand into ulcers the size of soybeans or larger. The base is soft, dirty, and contains a lot of pus. There is obvious pain and it gradually expands. The skin that comes into contact with the ulcer, such as the inner thigh and mons pubis, may be infected and new chancroid may develop. Three to four days after the onset of chancroid, the inguinal lymph nodes swell, and after one to two weeks they become purulent and ulcerated, leaving obvious scars after healing.

Intravaginal medication is very common, but how it is used has a certain relationship with the efficacy.

First of all, you should listen carefully to the doctor when you see him, and ask questions promptly if you don't understand something;

Second, read the instructions for use of the medicine carefully and contact your doctor in time if you have any questions;

Third, vaginal suppositories are usually used at night, so that the drug can be fully decomposed during sleep and directly act on the local area. If used during the day, the drug is likely to flow out of the vagina, which will not only contaminate the underwear, but also prevent the drug from fully contacting the lesion site;

Fourth, be sure to persist in treatment. If you are taking suppositories due to vaginitis or cervicitis, you should strive for a complete cure. After treatment, you should still follow the doctor's advice to go to the hospital for a follow-up check. You cannot stop the treatment just because the symptoms have eased. If it is not completely cured, it will easily relapse, and the bacteria will become resistant to the drugs, affecting the efficacy.

Fifth, some patients don’t understand why others don’t do vaginal douching, but they have to do it? In fact, for patients with excessive leucorrhea, directly inserting the medicine will affect the efficacy, so the doctor will recommend flushing first to reduce the secretions before inserting the medicine. This flushing is best done in a hospital.

Sixth, some suppositories come with tampons, which must be removed promptly and not left in for too long.

Seventh, keep the vulva clean and dry during the suppository period.

Eighth, it is best not to have sexual intercourse during suppository treatment, and suppositories should be stopped during menstruation.

The above is an introduction to the causes and treatment principles of stubborn vaginitis. I hope it will be helpful to you. When treating vaginitis, women must pay attention to timely treatment when the disease is discovered. Also, they must persist in treatment for a long time until the disease is cured. Do not stop treatment when you feel better, otherwise you will find that vaginitis will recur. It is important to stick with treatment.
