If the test paper detects pregnancy but the B-ultrasound shows no, it may be an ectopic pregnancy or an intrauterine pregnancy test paper, neither of which rules out gestational trophoblastic disease, and it is necessary to strictly and dynamically monitor blood hcg and intravaginal ultrasound results. If the blood hcg exceeds 3500 companies per liter, color Doppler ultrasound examination shows no fetal sac in the uterine cavity, or a mass or fetal sac-like echo is seen outside the uterus, considering the possibility of ectopic pregnancy, hospitalization is required to terminate the pregnancy. If the blood hcg rises and then decreases, and no obvious gestational sac is found inside or outside the uterine cavity during color Doppler ultrasound examination, the possibility of ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage should be considered. If the blood hcg level increases by about 1 times every 24-48 hours, and intrauterine ultrasound shows that a fetal sac is visible in the uterine cavity, it is diagnosed as intrauterine pregnancy. If the blood hcg level continues to be too high, no obvious fetal sac is seen inside or outside the uterine cavity, and gestational trophoblastic disease is not ruled out, further examination is required.

The test paper is positive, but no gestational sac is found inside or outside the uterine cavity through B-ultrasound examination. In clinical medicine, it is mainly after the sperm and egg combine to enter the uterine cavity and the embryo implants, the trophoblast begins to secrete blood HCG, so the urine test shows a positive result. Because the embryo implants not long after the sperm and egg combine, it has not yet fully grown and developed to dry up the B-ultrasound, so the gestational sac cannot be seen through the B-ultrasound. The main reason is that B-ultrasound is a histological examination, and the test paper is a test based on chemical changes. Therefore, when the test paper shows a positive result, but the B-ultrasound does not find a gestational sac, don't worry, you can go to the hospital for a corresponding examination after a period of time, and it is possible that a gestational sac is found in the uterine cavity.

If the patient tests positive with a pregnancy test strip, and the B-ultrasound does not show the presence of a gestational sac, there are three most common possibilities in clinical medicine: the early pregnancy test is positive, but the patient is not pregnant. The accuracy of early pregnancy tests is not 100%, and there may be positive results, so patients need to further test their blood hcg gonadotropin for confirmation.

It should be considered that the patient is in a normal pregnancy, but because the pregnancy is relatively short, the sperm and egg have not yet formed a gestational sac visible to the naked eye, so B-ultrasound cannot be done yet. You can wait 1-2 weeks before doing an ultrasound examination. It should be considered that it is an abnormal pregnancy, such as ectopic pregnancy, abortion of test tube embryo development or ectopic pregnancy. In this case, it is difficult to detect the presence of the gestational sac by B-ultrasound. The patient needs to continue to observe the changes in B-ultrasound, or check the blood hcg gonadotropin and progesterone levels to comprehensively determine the actual situation.
