Early symptoms of pancreatitis in women

Pancreatitis is not a serious disease, but it is very uncomfortable for patients. Especially when acute pancreatitis occurs, it is very likely to cause death if it is not treated in time! Now, in order for patients to detect symptoms immediately and make corresponding treatment immediately, let us now understand the early symptoms of pancreatitis.

Early symptoms of pancreatitis

Early symptoms of pancreatitis 1: nausea and retching, 2/3 of patients have this symptom, the onset is frequent, initially it is reflexive, the content is food and bile. The terminal stage is caused by paralytic ileus, and the excrement is fecal-like. If the patient vomits parasites, pancreatitis with a high incidence of biliary ascariasis is common. Vomiting in patients with fatty liver pancreatitis often occurs during abdominal pain, while vomiting in patients with biliary pancreatitis often occurs after abdominal pain occurs.

Early symptom of pancreatitis 2: Abdominal distension. In extremely severe cases, it is caused by irritation of intra-abdominal fluid leakage and retroperitoneal bleeding. Paralytic intestinal obstruction causes intestinal gas and blood accumulation, resulting in abdominal distension.

Early symptom of pancreatitis 3: Jaundice. About 20% of patients develop varying degrees of jaundice 1 to 2 days after the onset of the disease. The reasons may be the coexistence of bile duct stones, causing bile duct obstruction, or the swollen pancreatic head being compressed under the gallbladder, or liver function damage causing jaundice. The more severe the jaundice, the more serious the condition and the poorer the prognosis.

Early symptoms of pancreatitis 4. Fever, mostly mild to moderate fever: between 38° and 39°C, usually gradually decreasing after 3 to 5 days. However, in extremely severe cases, the symptoms may persist for several days without abating, indicating pancreatic infection or cyst formation, and food poisoning symptoms may appear. In severe cases, the body temperature may not rise. When combined with cholangitis, there will be chills and high fever.

Early symptoms of pancreatitis 5. Twitching of hands and feet is caused by decreased blood potassium. The lipase that enters the abdomen digests the adipose tissue on the greater omentum and retroperitoneum and breaks it down into vaseline and oleic acid. The latter combines with calcium to form insoluble calcium oleate, resulting in a decrease in blood cell calcium. If the blood cell calcium is less than 1.98 mmol/L (8 mg%), it indicates that the condition is worsening and the prognosis is poor.

Early symptoms of pancreatitis 7. Shock is common in subacute hemorrhagic necrotizing pancreatitis because of a lot of exudate bleeding in the abdomen and retroperitoneum, fluid accumulation in the intestinal cavity due to intestinal paralysis, and vomiting leading to blood loss, resulting in low blood flow shock. In addition, a lot of protein decomposition substances are digested and absorbed, causing toxic shock. Specific symptoms include irritability, sweating, dry mouth, cold limbs, thin pulse, shallow and rapid breathing, low blood pressure, and oliguria. In severe cases, symptoms include cyanosis, difficulty breathing, delirium, coma, rapid pulse, unmeasurable blood pressure, anuria, and decreased renal function.
