What to eat when you are nauseous during pregnancy

Marriage and pregnancy are the two most important things in a woman's life. Neither can be taken lightly and both need to be taken seriously. It is inevitable for women to experience early pregnancy after becoming pregnant. I am afraid that only female friends who have experienced it personally can understand the discomfort of early pregnancy more deeply. The fourth month of pregnancy is the stage when early pregnancy reactions are more severe. Now let’s take a look at what to eat when you are nauseated during the fourth month of pregnancy and what to pay attention to in your diet!

Due to low blood sugar and insufficient food intake that produces ketone bodies, pregnant women are prone to loss of appetite, mild nausea and vomiting. At this time, they can eat more whole grains and other foods high in sugar to increase blood sugar and reduce ketone bodies. During this period, it is advisable to eat more fish (four types of fish are not suitable for pregnant women), because fish is rich in nutrients, delicious, easy to digest, and especially suitable for consumption in early pregnancy. To prevent nausea and vomiting, eat small meals frequently, eat less greasy and indigestible foods, and eat more light foods such as porridge and soy milk. You can also eat a small amount of bread, crackers or other snacks when you wake up and before going to bed.

Dietary Note:

1. Eat more in separate meals and eat smaller meals. Keeping food in the stomach at all times, a cracker in the morning or a snack in the evening will help. But leaving too long a gap between meals and eating too much at each meal are not good either.

2. Eat more light and easily digestible foods. Spicy and greasy foods can induce nausea in pregnant women, while foods rich in complex carbohydrates such as corn, wheat, and fresh vegetables are easy for the stomach to get along with.

3. Eat more ginger. Ginger can relieve nausea when getting up early. Pregnant women can eat more ginger slices, or drink some ginger tea, which is also beneficial.

4. Pay attention to supplementing vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 can help relieve nausea.

5. Relax and don't be nervous. You should know that this is just a normal reaction to pregnancy. If the situation is serious, go to the hospital for examination.

As mentioned above, pregnant women should eat small meals frequently and keep their diet as light as possible because their blood sugar level is low when the fetus is four months old. You can eat more foods high in sugar, such as fish and beans. If the nausea in early pregnancy is severe, you may consider taking a small amount of vitamin B6 during this period to improve the condition.
