What are the symptoms of watery leucorrhea?

Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea plays the role of moisturizing the skin of the labia and vagina. The Bartholin's glands secrete a colorless, clear, acidic liquid; the sebaceous glands of the labia secrete a viscous, milky liquid; the vaginal epithelium has no glands, and its white, thin, paste-like fluid is the exudate of the vaginal mucosa and is acidic; cervical mucus is alkaline, like egg white; endometrial secretions are thinner and less in quantity than cervical mucus. The amount of vaginal discharge varies and is related to age, estrogen levels and congestion of the reproductive organs.

Pathological abnormal leucorrhea: such as inflammatory leucorrhea, leucorrhea caused by tumors and leucorrhea caused by foreign bodies. Common pathological leucorrhea in clinical practice include:

1. Gray, homogeneous leucorrhea with a fishy smell: common in bacterial vaginosis.

2. Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea: It is egg white-like and similar in properties to the mucus secreted by the cervical glands during ovulation, but the amount is significantly increased. Generally, the possibility of chronic endocervicitis, ovarian dysfunction, vaginal adenosis, or well-differentiated cervical adenocarcinoma should be considered.

3. Watery leucorrhea: Continuous discharge of watery leucorrhea like rice washing water with a peculiar odor is generally caused by advanced cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, or submucosal fibroids with infection. If you have intermittent discharge of yellow or red watery vaginal discharge, you should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer.

4. White or grayish yellow foamy leucorrhea: It is a characteristic of Trichomonas vaginitis and may be accompanied by vulvar itching.

5. Curd-like leucorrhea: It is a characteristic of candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching or burning pain.

6. Abnormal bloody leucorrhea: If there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical polyps or submucosal fibroids should be considered. Insertion of an intrauterine device can also cause bloody leucorrhea.

7. Purulent leucorrhea: yellow or yellow-green in color, sticky, and often smelly. It can be caused by cervicitis, acute vaginitis, and endocervicitis caused by bacteria such as Trichomonas or gonococci. Pyometra, cervical cancer, vaginal cancer or foreign objects retained in the vagina can also cause pus-like leucorrhea.

Watery leucorrhea is caused by the above reasons and other symptoms. The editor suggests that you should take measures to treat the symptoms, but the treatment in daily life is the same. You should clean the vulva, eat a light diet, and eat more soybeans to supplement female hormones.
