Are vaginal warts serious and how are they treated?

Nowadays, many women cannot accept the fact that they have vaginal warts, because this disease is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse, and they can also often feel itching in the genitals. Some women do not pay attention to it and blindly take medication for treatment. The recurrence rate of the disease is relatively high. The editor recommends that you pay attention to the following points. Is vulvar warts a serious disease? You will know through the following analysis.

1: Transmission through direct sexual contact. This is the main route of transmission. When having sexual contact with a patient with genital warts, the warts growing on the external genitalia are easily scratched because they are exogenous and brittle. The viruses in the warts and epidermal tissues then fall off and are inoculated onto the genitals of the sexual partner, leading to infection with the human papillomavirus and the disease. Therefore, genital warts are likely to occur among people with promiscuous sexual relationships.

2: Mother-to-child transmission. Pregnant women with genital warts, especially those with no obvious clinical symptoms but with viral infection in the cervix, will have viruses in their reproductive tract. During delivery, the fetus will pass through the birth canal and be infected with the virus, causing genital warts in infants and young children.

3: Indirect transmission. Some patients with genital warts are infected with human papillomavirus through indirect routes. The most common indirect transmission route is daily necessities such as underwear, bath towels, bathtubs, etc. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone pay special attention when going out or traveling.

4: Smoke transmission. This is a recently discovered transmission route of genital warts. Experts said that recently, some researchers found that HPV virus exists in the smoke produced when using laser to treat genital warts, which means that smoke containing HPV may cause the spread of genital warts.

Vulvar warts cause many problems for women, the most important of which is sexuality. It is also important to control sexual life during treatment to avoid cross infection between men and women, protect women's personal genital hygiene, and avoid the presence of viruses, which are mainly transmitted through various channels. The editor suggests that you should pay attention to your quality of life in the future.
