What is the treatment for bacterial vaginosis in women?

Adult women always encounter various gynecological diseases, which not only cause them physical pain, but also mental torture. Especially when bacterial vaginitis occurs, it always recurs and is very troublesome. Some people have lost confidence in treatment. Here, the editor has compiled some Western medicine treatments for this disease, hoping that it will be of great help to you.

Bacterial vaginosis is a type of vaginitis caused primarily by Gardnerella vaginalis and can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Bacterial vaginosis is a disease caused by an increase in Gardnerella and anaerobic bacteria, a decrease in Lactobacillus, and a change in the ecological balance system in the vagina. Among them, Gardnerella also parasitizes in the vagina of healthy women.

Causes of bacterial vaginosis:

In normal women of childbearing age, under the action of endocrine hormones, the vaginal epithelial cells proliferate and their surface cells are rich in glycogen, which is very conducive to the growth of facultative aerobic lactobacilli, which account for more than 90% of the vagina. The presence of a large amount of this lactic acid bacteria inhibits the growth of other pathogenic bacteria. A normal ecological balance is formed in the vagina.

Western medicine treatment of bacterial vaginosis:

1. Take 250-500 mg of metronidazole twice a day for 7 consecutive days. Do not drink alcohol within 2 days of taking the medicine. Pregnant women are prohibited from using it.

2. Take 1.0g of tinidazole once a day for 10-15 days.

3. Tetracycline 500 mg, 4 times a day, for 7 consecutive days.

4. Clindamycin 300 mg, twice a day, for 7 consecutive days.

5. Ampicillin 0.5g, 4 times a day, for 7 days.

6. 1% lactic acid or acetic acid solution can be used for vaginal irrigation to restore the normal physiological environment and inhibit bacterial growth.

7. Lactobacillus therapy and Lactobacillus preparations. Lactobacillus therapy is used abroad, mainly for vaginal washing and made into suppositories for placement in the vagina.

After reading the editor's detailed introduction, I believe everyone is clear about the causes of bacterial vaginosis and the various treatments of Western medicine. If you have this symptom, you can refer to the above methods. Of course, a detailed examination is inevitable. With the help of a doctor, treatment will be simpler and more convenient.
