Why does a woman’s vaginal discharge turn brown after her period?

Women's leucorrhea is also a benchmark for whether they have gynecological problems. Abnormal leucorrhea certainly means that women are not so healthy. Although brown vaginal discharge is relatively normal, we should still look at our vaginal discharge correctly considering individual characteristics. Therefore, female friends must pay more attention to the health of their leucorrhea. When bean dregs, brown or fishy smell appear, we need to know the cause of the brown color and actively solve it.

Cause of brown vaginal discharge: acute vaginitis. Vaginitis is the most common inflammation of the female reproductive organs and can occur at all ages. The clinical manifestations of acute vaginitis include increased leucorrhea, frequent urination, and coffee-colored leucorrhea.

2Cervical polyps. Cervical polyps are more common in married women. The clinical manifestations of women with cervical dysentery are a small amount of bright red spotting, or a small amount of bleeding after sexual intercourse, which is sometimes mistaken for "menstruation". The amount of bleeding in a few people can be similar to menstruation. Some patients may have yellow leucorrhea at ordinary times, and most have an odor.

3. Cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is one of the local characteristics of chronic cervicitis and is also the most common gynecological disease. If women do not pay attention to sexual hygiene, they can directly bring bacteria into the vagina, infect the cervix, and cause cervical erosion. The clinical manifestations are often increased and sticky vaginal discharge, and occasionally purulent or bloody vaginal discharge may also appear. Low back pain, abdominal pain, and a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen are also often accompanied. Contact bleeding may also occur during sexual intercourse, and the appearance of odor is also very likely.

Pathological brown vaginal discharge may indicate gynecological inflammation or certain malignant tumors and lesions. Various types of cervicitis, endometrial lesions, cervical cancer, etc. may cause brown vaginal discharge. Physiological brown vaginal discharge generally does not require treatment, while the treatment of pathological brown vaginal discharge generally requires active and timely treatment of the primary disease, which can generally improve and control the condition.

Everyone should know the reason why leucorrhea after menstruation is brown. It is said that women are made of water and are more delicate, so our female friends must pay attention to the hygiene and health of their private parts. If you experience abnormal leucorrhea, you must deal with it in a timely manner to be a healthy woman.
