Causes of vaginal dryness and itching

A woman's vagina is in a perennially humid environment, and multiple urinations a day will cause some bacteria at the vaginal opening. However, proper flora will not cause discomfort at the vaginal opening. But when the flora is disordered, it will lead to inflammation. There are many reasons for vaginal itching. Let's take a look at the specific reasons.

Vaginal trichomoniasis: Women experience itching of the vulva and vagina, itching of the urethra, foamy leucorrhea, often accompanied by a special odor, and eczematous changes in the vulva after scratching. A vaginal smear test can be used to distinguish it from the above conditions.

Fungal vaginitis: Women may experience itching of the vulva, vagina, vaginal opening, urethral opening, vulvar flushing, and dregs-like leucorrhea with an odor. Scratching may cause eczematous changes of the vulvar dermatitis.

Drug allergy: Itching caused by taking some drugs in women with allergic constitution often occurs at the junction of the skin and mucous membrane of the vulva. In addition to local itching, it may be complicated by erosion and exudation. If you use drugs for vaginal washing or vaginal insertion, if allergic reactions and contact dermatitis occur, vulvar itching and urethral itching may also occur.

Unclean local skin: Some women use toilet paper improperly, and the skin of the vulva is soaked by menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, and even urine, feces and sweat, which causes chronic inflammation of the local skin, causing itching of the vulva and urethra.

It is recommended to go to the hospital for routine examination of leucorrhea. After clarifying the nature of the inflammation, symptomatic treatment should be given. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, wash the vulva with clean water, change underwear frequently, change sanitary napkins and panty liners in time during menstruation, and do not have sex during treatment to avoid cross infection.

The causes of vaginal itching in women include vulvitis, vaginitis, etc. Go to the hospital for examination in time to avoid delaying the disease and causing female infertility.

The vagina is easily infected by viruses and is a relatively vulnerable part of women, so it is recommended that female friends pay attention to their vaginal health, change underwear frequently, keep the vulva clean, and avoid unclean sexual intercourse. In serious cases, you need to go to the hospital for a detailed examination to avoid missing the best time to treat the disease.
