The reason why women's nipples are dark

As women get older, their expenses increase. What is the reason? It's simple. A large amount of money is spent on maintenance. A woman's skin will become worse as she ages, her self-repair ability will gradually decrease, and there are many areas that need maintenance. Not only the face, but also the hands, feet, and even the more private parts such as nipples.

Why do we need to take care of our nipples? Because nipples will turn dark. So what is the reason why women’s nipples turn dark?

Four possible reasons why women's nipples turn dark

The areola, like the nipple, is only a small part of the breast tissue, but it has its own unique and irreplaceable physiological function. Most of the mammary duct outlets are concentrated in the nipple tissue, but there are still very few mammary ducts opening on the areola, which has darker pigmentation than other skin on the body.

1. Pregnancy: Hormonal changes cause the areola to become larger and darker. Even if hormones gradually return to normal after delivery, the size of the areola will never return to its pre-pregnancy state.

2. Sunbathing: Wearing a bikini without sun protection will make the fabric more transparent after entering the water, giving the sun a chance to attack your breasts. Or if you like to wear thin and transparent cute clothes, don’t wear underwear, and don’t use sunscreen, all of which will cause your areola to darken.

3. Overstimulation: Excessive sexual life, babies sucking breast milk, liking to scrub the body with a sponge, improper exfoliation, etc., can cause melanin deposition.

4. Wearing rough underwear: The underwear is made of rough material and constantly rubs the areola, which can also cause melanin deposition.

The above are the possible reasons why women’s nipples are dark. Except for one which may be a natural phenomenon, the rest are caused by women's own lack of attention to their nipples, or their rough treatment and failure to maintain them properly. Nipple care is also an important part that women should take care of. More attention should be paid to the hygiene and cleanliness of the nipples, which has a lot to do with women's later life.
