Dietary supplements for confinement

For every woman, getting married and having children may be a necessary step, and after giving birth, you have to stay in confinement for a period of time. The body's absorption of nutrients during the confinement period is very important. Today, the editor will talk to you in detail about some nutritional supplements and dietary methods during the confinement period!

Because the mother consumes various nutrients during childbirth and also loses some nutrients due to excessive sweating and lochia after childbirth, the postpartum period is very important for both the mother and the newborn. Proper dietary adjustments can replenish sufficient nutrients as soon as possible, replenish damaged physical constitution, prevent and treat postpartum diseases, help mothers recover their health as soon as possible, and maintain the growth and development of newborns.

The first meal after delivery should be easily digestible, nutritious liquid food. Such as poached eggs boiled in sugar water, egg drop soup, lotus root powder, etc. Wait until the next day to eat some soft food or regular meals. For 5-7 days after delivery, the staple food should be rice porridge, soft rice, soft noodles, egg soup, etc. Don't eat too much greasy food, such as chicken, pig's trotters, etc. After 7 days after delivery, the appetite is normal and fish, meat, eggs, chicken, etc. can be increased. But don't overeat. Within 1 month after delivery, it is advisable to eat multiple meals a day, with 5-6 meals a day being the best.

The mother’s diet during the “confinement period” is required to be nutritious and easy to digest. Apart from avoiding spicy and particularly difficult-to-chew foods, tobacco and alcohol, there are generally no dietary restrictions. However, it should be noted that the gastrointestinal function of the mother has not yet returned to normal in the first few days after delivery. The food should not be too greasy. It is better to eat light, easy to digest and nutritious food. Within 24 hours after delivery, you should eat liquid or semi-liquid food, such as millet porridge, rice porridge, lotus root powder, egg soup, noodles, thin noodles, dumplings, soy milk, etc. As your strength recovers and your appetite increases, you can eat a normal diet. And pay attention to the intake of high-protein foods to supplement calories. If conditions permit, you can eat more meat, eggs, fish, milk, soy products, fresh vegetables and fruits to promote milk secretion. If conditions do not allow you to eat these foods, you should also eat eggs, soy products, green vegetables, etc. regularly. In short, after childbirth, you need to have a proper nutrition, not be picky about food, and make sure your diet is a combination of meat and vegetables, dry and liquid food, and coarse and fine grains. This will meet the body's needs for various nutrients, which is very beneficial to the health of the mother and the growth and development of the child.

Through the above introduction, everyone should now understand that during the confinement period, we must pay attention to the body's nutritional intake. This is the only way to allow the body to recover quickly. Otherwise, if the disease is left behind, you will suffer pain for the rest of your life.
