What are the sequelae of uterine myoma removal

After suffering from uterine fibroids, women will not have obvious symptoms, but if they do not take contraceptive measures and cannot become pregnant normally within one year after marriage, it is mostly due to uterine fibroids, which usually require surgical removal. The sequelae it produces are the issue that family members are most concerned about. So, what are the side effects of uterine myomectomy? Let’s take a closer look at it.

1. Menstrual disorders. Menstrual changes are common symptoms of uterine fibroids, but they can also be easily confused with other gynecological inflammations, manifested as shortened menstrual cycles, increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual periods, irregular vaginal bleeding, etc. Lower abdominal mass. The patient will feel bloating in the lower abdomen. When uterine fibroids grow to a certain extent, a lump can usually be felt by touching the lower abdomen with the hand, accompanied by a feeling of falling.

2. Compression symptoms. At first, uterine fibroids only grow in the myometrium of the uterus, but they will gradually spread in other directions, growing forward or backward, and may compress the bladder, urethra or rectum, causing frequent urination, difficulty urinating, urinary retention or constipation. When the fibroids grow to both sides, broad ligament fibroids are formed. When they compress the ureter, they can cause hydroureteral or renal pelvis; if they compress the pelvic blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, they can cause lower limb edema.

3. Abnormal leucorrhea. Normal vaginal discharge for women is a slightly thick and transparent substance. If a woman has a fibroid, not only will the amount of vaginal discharge increase, but sometimes a large amount of purulent and bloody discharge and necrotic tissue with a foul odor will also be produced.

The above is an introduction to the sequelae of uterine myomectomy. I hope it will be helpful for women to understand. There may be sequelae after uterine fibroid removal, but it is not 100% certain. Therefore, patients with uterine fibroids who need surgical treatment must be actively observed. If similar conditions occur, effective measures must be taken in a timely manner for treatment.
