In severe cases, general fatigue and lower abdominal discomfort may occur, and the amount of leucorrhea may be large and purulent or serous. The outflow of leucorrhea may irritate the urethra, causing frequent urination and painful urination. 2. Candidal vaginitis: also called vaginal candidiasis. The prominent symptoms are increased vaginal discharge and severe itching of the vulva and vagina. In severe cases, the patient may be restless and in extreme pain, and may also experience frequent urination, painful urination, and pain during sexual intercourse. The leucorrhea is white, thick and resembling dregs of soybean dregs, the vaginal membrane is highly edematous, and there are white flaky films adhering to it which are easy to peel off. The erosion of the damaged mucosa may form shallow ulcers, and in severe cases, ecchymosis may remain, which are typical symptoms of this disease. 3. Trichomonas vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases and is yellow-white, occasionally with yellow-green pus, often foamy and fishy. When the disease is severe, it will be mixed with blood; followed by low back pain, frequent urination, painful urination, vulvar itching, and dull pain in the lower abdomen. The vaginal mucosa is red and swollen, with scattered bleeding spots or strawberry-shaped protrusions, which occasionally cause pain during sexual intercourse. 4. Senile vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases and becomes yellow and watery. When the infection is severe, the discharge may turn into pus and have a foul odor, and there may occasionally be symptoms of spotting. There is a burning and falling sensation in the vagina, discomfort in the lower abdomen, and frequent and painful urination. The vaginal mucosa is red, slightly edematous, and tender, with scattered punctate or flaky hemorrhages of varying sizes, sometimes accompanied by superficial ulcers.
