What are the methods of inducing labor?

Induced labor is a method specifically used for women who have had a fetus in the womb for too long and do not want to give birth to it. However, the fetus is already very large and its bones have basically formed. If induced labor is performed, it will cause great harm. In addition, the woman will also have to undergo a uterine cleaning and do a series of things that are harmful to the body. If there are no special circumstances, mothers must not induce labor. However, nothing is absolute and such special circumstances still exist. So what are the methods of inducing abortion?

Intravenous saline replacement, induced labor with Radix Trichosanthis, induced labor with Levanol, induced labor with Rutaecarpa membrane, induced labor with Gansui Gongchong, induced labor with diluted alcohol, induced labor with prostaglandin, etc.

As for the various methods of induction of labor in mid-term pregnancy, according to the actual conditions in China, combined with the consideration of simple methods, short abortion time, small amount of medicine, good effect, mild side effects, few complications, wide source of medicine and economic factors, the commonly used methods in my country are water bag plus oxytocin induction of labor and rivanol induction of labor. The commonly used methods of induction of labor are water bag induction of labor and rivanol induction of labor.

1. Water sac induction of labor. The most common complications of this type of induction of labor are infection and bleeding. After the operation, the body temperature and lochia should be closely observed. If the body temperature exceeds 38 degrees and the lochia has a foul odor, antibiotics should be given in time to treat the infection. Excessive bleeding is mainly caused by poor uterine contractions or residual placenta and fetal membranes after placental abruption and abortion. On the basis of preventing shock and treating the cause, uterine contractions should be strengthened or uterine curettage should be performed.

2. Induced labor with Livanol. The most common complication of this type of induction is retained fetal membranes. Generally speaking, routine postoperative cleaning of the uterine cavity can avoid retained fetal membranes. In addition, a small number of patients have fever, which drops rapidly 24 hours after the fetus is expelled. If the body temperature continues to rise after 24 hours, other factors causing the fever should be ruled out.

Knowing what methods are available for induction of labor, women who need induction of labor should choose a method that suits them according to their own situation.

No matter how many weeks you have been induced for labor, you must do a good job of preoperative examination and pay attention to the absorption of nutrients. Don't always be immersed in sadness. You should continue to face life happily and maintain a good mood, which will be beneficial to your body's recovery.
