Causes of fetal brain maldevelopment

Causes of fetal brain maldevelopment

For some expectant mothers, it would be like a bolt from the blue if they were diagnosed with fetal brain underdevelopment, because fetal brain underdevelopment means that the fetus may have mental retardation, which is what we commonly call "dementia". Therefore, during pregnancy, they must pay attention to preventing the occurrence of fetal brain underdevelopment. Next, we will mainly introduce the causes of fetal brain dysplasia.

Causes of fetal brain hypoplasia

1. Nutritional factors: Malnutrition in the early stage can shorten the division period of brain cells, and malnutrition in the late stage can reduce the volume of each brain cell. If there is malnutrition in the early stages, especially in the fetal period, even if nutrition improves after birth, intellectual recovery will still be slow or difficult to recover. Therefore, timely nutrition supply and nutritional support for pregnant women during the fetal growth and development period is a prerequisite for ensuring brain development and intellectual development.

2. Influence on the emotions of pregnant women: A large number of clinical investigations over the years have found that excessive emotional anxiety in pregnant women within 7 to 10 weeks of pregnancy can lead to oral and lip deformities in the fetus, such as cleft palate or split lip, because the fetal palate develops exactly during this period. In the late stages of pregnancy, sudden changes in the mental state of pregnant women, such as fear, shock, sadness, severe stimulation or excessive mental tension caused by other reasons, will affect the brain and hypothalamus, causing an increase in the secretion of adrenal medullary hormones in the body, which will have a certain impact on the mother's cardiovascular system and the "fetal blood circulation", causing fetal hypoxia, etc.

3. Influence of environmental factors: The influence of the mother's internal environment on the fetus: If the mother has diabetes, the fetus will be affected by her internal environment and the incidence of congenital heart disease or anencephaly is as high as 2.9%; if the mother has hypothyroidism, the fetus is prone to bone and tooth deformities, cryptorchidism, tongue-protruding dementia, thyroid enlargement, etc.

We have already given a detailed introduction to the issue of fetal brain development. We need to remind all expectant mothers that they must master the above-mentioned methods to prevent fetal brain hypoplasia, and also have regular check-ups during pregnancy. Therefore, you must pay attention to all aspects during pregnancy, including regular physical examinations.
