Women who are over 55 and have not yet reached menopause must go to the hospital regularly for B-ultrasound examination of the endometrium (and endometrial biopsy if necessary), as well as breast B-ultrasound, to prevent problems before they occur.

In developed Western countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, many women enter menopause at the age of 53 or later, so the rate of breast cancer is higher than in developing countries.

1. Wear multiple layers of clothing, preferably cotton. If you get hot flashes, take off your outer clothing. Also, drink a glass of cool water or cold juice when a hot flash starts.

2. Wear cotton pajamas and keep the bedroom cool. Put extra sheets on your bed. When hot flashes occur, wet the top sheet and remove it.

3. Pay attention to your diet, don’t drink alcohol or eat spicy food.

4. Keep exercising. Some women find that regular exercise can lessen the effects of hot flashes and help them sleep better.

5. Eat more tofu. Beans contain a substance from the same family as estrogen that may help relieve symptoms like hot flashes. You can also drink cool soy milk when hot flashes start.

6. Be patient. The symptom of menopause is "the rabbit's tail - it won't grow longer". It will gradually disappear within 3-5 years at most.
