What is heavy vaginal bleeding?

Women are born weak. Not only in ancient times but also in modern times. In today's society, many women are often troubled by various gynecological diseases. I couldn't sleep or eat all day. It not only affects one's work, but may also affect one's married life and one's family. Heavy vaginal bleeding is one of the gynecological diseases. So how did it happen?

Experts point out that this disease is caused by many diseases. In addition to normal menstrual bleeding, it may also present with excessive and prolonged menstruation, irregular bleeding and contact bleeding. When bleeding is heavy, anemia may occur, and in severe cases, hemorrhagic shock may occur, which may be life-threatening.

There are many reasons for vaginal bleeding in women, and female friends should pay attention if vaginal bleeding occurs.

1. Most cases of senile vaginitis, cervical erosion and cervical polyps will cause a small amount of fresh bleeding after gynecological examination or sexual intercourse. There may be bloody leucorrhea at other times. Endometritis and endometrial hyperplasia can also cause vaginal bleeding.

2. Functional uterine bleeding and discontinuation of hormonal drugs such as progesterone, ethinyl estradiol and birth control pills can cause vaginal bleeding.

3. Uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, cervical cancer, body cancer and ovarian granulosa cell tumors can all cause vaginal bleeding and leucorrhea.

4. Thrombocytopenic purpura, leukemia and liver damage can cause vaginal redness and bleeding spots on the skin.

5. Irregular bleeding after menopause mostly occurs in women of childbearing age. The first thing to consider is pregnancy-related diseases, such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and choriocarcinoma.

6. Bloody discharge before or after menstruation, such as a small amount of bloody discharge a few days before or after menstruation, is generally caused by abnormal ovarian function; irregular menstruation after IUD insertion.

7. Bleeding may occur in the late pregnancy, and placenta previa, placental abruption and uterine rupture may occur.

8. Pregnancy bleeding may be caused by placental retention, incomplete uterine involution and postpartum infection.

9. Vaginal bleeding in young children may indicate vaginal sarcoma.

10. If menopausal women have irregular vaginal bleeding, which is heavy and lasts for a long time, endometrial cancer and reproductive malignancies should be ruled out.

Since women have different physiological characteristics at each age stage, age is an important reference for diagnosing vaginal bleeding. For example, vaginal bleeding in young girls and menopausal women should be considered as organic lesions. Most adolescent females consider bleeding as dysfunctional uterus. Women of childbearing age should consider these pregnancy-related diseases. At the same time, in clinical practice, the medical history should be taken in detail, the physical examination should be carefully performed, and necessary auxiliary examinations should be performed. Generally, a correct diagnosis and treatment can be made in the early stages.

Warm reminder: We would like to remind all female friends not to underestimate the symptom of vaginal bleeding, as it is the root cause of many gynecological diseases. Once you find this symptom, you must go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible to confirm the condition as soon as possible and give the best treatment.

Regarding heavy vaginal bleeding, women must be cautious. Remember not to seek treatment blindly, and be sure to go to a local regular gynecological clinic. And usually pay attention to prevent gynecological diseases. Remember not to eat too much junk food, eat more fruits and vegetables, change your underwear frequently, and go to the hospital for regular physical examinations. Only with a healthy body can you maintain family harmony.
