What we usually call cervical bleeding is actually cervical erosion. As we all know, our private parts are sometimes dry and sometimes wet. But if they are wet for a long time, we must pay attention to it, as it may cause some vaginal diseases. As we all know, the cervix is the entrance to our vagina. If bleeding occurs, do you know what is going on? Symptoms of cervical bleeding When patients suffer from mild cervical erosion, they generally have no obvious symptoms and may only have a slightly increased amount of leucorrhea, which is often easily overlooked. Cervical erosion in many patients is discovered during screening or when they visit the doctor for other gynecological diseases. The most obvious symptom of patients with moderate and severe cervical erosion is increased vaginal discharge, which is yellow and sticky, or contains blood. A small number of patients may experience bleeding after sexual intercourse. Inflammatory leucorrhea can cause long-term irritation to the vulva and may also cause vulvar pruritus. In addition, since the cervical lymphatic system is directly connected to the paracervical connective tissue, inflammation can spread to the pelvic cavity through the lymphatic circulation, leading to pelvic connective tissue inflammation, resulting in symptoms such as lumbar pain, lower abdominal distension, etc. In a small number of patients, infertility may also be caused by cervical erosion. How is the degree of cervical erosion divided? The most commonly used method for grading cervical erosion is based on the size of the erosion area, which can be divided into three degrees: mild, moderate, and severe. When the erosion area is less than 1/3 of the entire cervical area, it is mild cervical erosion; when the erosion area is between 1/3 and 2/3 of the cervical area, it is moderate erosion; when the erosion area is more than 2/3 of the entire cervical area, it is severe erosion. During clinical examination, attention should be paid not only to the size of the erosion surface, but also to the type of erosion, whether it is simple, granular, or papillary. Can cervical erosion cause infertility? The texture and amount of cervical mucus secretion are directly related to whether sperm can pass through the cervix and enter the uterine cavity. Under normal circumstances, during ovulation, under the action of estrogen, the cervical mucus has a higher water content and a thinner texture, which is conducive to the passage of sperm. When cervical erosion occurs, especially moderate or severe cervical erosion, cervical secretions will increase significantly, become viscous, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will have an adverse effect on sperm motility and hinder sperm from entering the uterine cavity, thus affecting conception. Generally speaking, mild cervical erosion will not lead to infertility; but if you suffer from moderate or severe cervical erosion and infertility, the patient should actively treat it. Okay, the above is our basic introduction to the symptoms of cervical bleeding. Are you shocked after reading it? That’s right, in fact, many times, many things seem so far away from us and seem to have nothing to do with us, but it is not the case. Maybe you will break out of the disease one day, so we must understand the knowledge! |
