What are the characteristics of mammary adenomatous changes

Although breast tumor-like changes are not very common, there are many types of breast tumor-like changes, such as fibrosarcoma, adenosarcoma, and carcinosarcoma. The hazards of different types of breast tumor-like changes are different. We must be clear about the characteristics of breast tumor-like changes and actively treat them when they are discovered. So, what are the characteristics of breast tumor-like changes? Let’s take a closer look at it.

1. The age of onset is roughly similar to that of breast cancer.

2. The growth pattern is mostly a small swelling, which grows slowly in the abdominal cavity for a long time and then suddenly increases rapidly.

3. The patient’s general condition is good.

4. Local tumors may appear very large, but are usually confined to one place, with distinct boundaries, are mobile, and are of medium hardness or rubber-like hardness, but may also be softened and soft.

5. The nipple does not retract and does not discharge.

6. The epidermis of mammary adenomatous changes appears tense, shiny, slightly red, and has dilated veins due to the rapid enlargement of the tumor. It is common to see the breast sag together with the tumor. If the tumor sags excessively, it may cause edema of the breast skin. However, adhesion and "orange peel-like changes" generally do not occur, and the tumor may rupture and become a flower-like shape in the late stage.

It is common in unilateral breast of lactating women. Due to duct obstruction, milk accumulates in the duct. The lump is mostly located behind the nipple or around the breast. The lump is spherical with clear edges and relatively uniform density. In the late stage of the cyst, the accumulated milk coagulates into lumps with a higher density.

The above is an introduction to the characteristics of breast tumor-like changes. I hope it will be helpful for patients to understand. Although breast adenomatous transformation is not a very common disease, its harm is relatively large. We must be clear about the characteristics of breast adenomatous transformation and go to a regular hospital for treatment in time when this disease is discovered to avoid more serious consequences.
