How to treat chronic salpingitis

How to treat chronic salpingitis

I believe everyone knows the importance of fallopian tubes to female friends. Female friends should take good care of their fallopian tubes in daily life. Fallopian tubes are prone to some symptoms. For example, chronic salpingitis is a common fallopian tube disease. So how should we treat chronic salpingitis? Below we will introduce to you the treatment methods of chronic salpingitis.

How to treat chronic salpingitis

Fallopian tube hypertrophy, abscesses and hydrosalpinx caused by chronic salpingitis are one of the important causes of female infertility. The cause of salpingitis is the upward spread of infection from the lower reproductive tract, which may lead to chronic inflammatory changes due to inappropriate and incomplete treatment.

1. Conservative treatment

(1) Get adequate rest and improve nutrition.

(2) Physical therapy.

Promote blood circulation to facilitate the absorption of inflammation. Commonly used methods include short wave, ultrashort wave, diathermy, infrared irradiation, etc.

(3) Perform antibiotic blockade of the vaginal fornix.

(4) Intrauterine injection of antibiotics into the fallopian tube uses antibiotics such as penicillin, gentamicin, etc., and adds hyaluronidase, chymotrypsin or dexamethasone.

(5) Drugs used to treat adhesions include chymotrypsin, hyaluronidase, and bromelain.

2. Surgery

(1) Salpingostomy: For patients with tubal fimbria obstruction caused by hydrosalpinx, tubal fimbria reconstruction can be performed to relieve the obstruction and adhesion, thereby increasing the chances of conception and childbirth.

(2) For patients with partial adhesion blockage in the isthmus, the adhesion part can be removed and the remaining part can be implanted through the uterine cornu, but the success rate is not high.

(3) Fallopian tube dilatation: Exploration of the uterine cornu is performed under hysteroscopy or fallopian tube endoscopy to try to dilate the fallopian tube. If necessary, the stent may be retained for 1 to 2 weeks to prevent re-adhesion. Strict aseptic operation must be performed during the operation to prevent the spread of iatrogenic infection or inflammation. In institutions with the necessary conditions, X-ray interventional treatment techniques can be used to dilate proximal fallopian tube obstruction. For those whose fallopian tubes are obviously damaged by inflammation and it is difficult to preserve them, the fallopian tubes should be removed as appropriate. After surgery for infertile patients with fallopian tube obstruction, follow-up is necessary, and for those who become pregnant, attention must be paid to timely detection and treatment of ectopic pregnancy.

In the above article, we introduced what chronic salpingitis is. We know that chronic salpingitis can cause great harm to female friends, so we must treat chronic salpingitis in time. The above article introduces several treatments for chronic salpingitis.
