Can irregular menstruation lead to pregnancy?

Irregular menstruation is a common phenomenon in women. Irregular menstruation will not only make women feel abdominal pain when they have their period, but also cause irregular menstruation dates, and will it have a certain impact on women's pregnancy. Therefore, women with irregular menstruation should seek medical treatment in time and take some medicine to adjust their menstruation. So, is it easy to get pregnant if you have irregular menstruation?

It is possible to get pregnant with irregular menstruation, but it is very difficult for women with irregular menstruation to get pregnant. This is because their irregular menstruation causes unstable ovulation, making it difficult to conceive, so the possibility of infertility is relatively high. .

Menstruation is an "old friend" that has been with women for decades. It will visit us on time on certain days of each month and leave after those days. However, occasionally, our "old friend" will not act according to the rules, for example, menstruation is always unclean. Many female friends have experienced unclean menstruation. If unclean menstruation is always clean, it is a clinical manifestation of irregular menstruation. The normal menstrual cycle for most women is 2 to 7 days, and in some cases it is 3 to 5 days. If your period lasts longer than 7 days, it is considered a prolonged period. Prolonged menstruation should be taken seriously. If menstruation is always unclean, the cause should be investigated in depth. It is usually related to the following diseases: pelvic inflammation, intrauterine polyps, endometritis, etc.; chronic uterine hypertrophy; uterine fibroids, especially submucosal uterine fibroids; dysfunctional uterine bleeding; endometriosis; placement of an IUD can also easily cause prolonged menstruation; blood diseases such as thrombocytopenic purpura, aplastic anemia, etc., so prolonged menstruation is caused by systemic diseases and many gynecological diseases. Therefore, if menstruation is always unclean, it should be treated in time.

Many patients themselves are unaware of the dangers of anovulation, and do not go to the hospital for proper treatment in time when they have anovulation, which leads to problems such as infertility, making treatment more difficult. Therefore, diseases such as anovulation should be treated early.

Reasons for not ovulating:

(1) Turner syndrome and simple gonadal dysgenesis are chromosomal abnormalities that both present with primary amenorrhea as the main clinical manifestation, with elevated gonadotropin and decreased estrogen. Pregnancy can be achieved through in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer using eggs donated by others.

(2) Premature ovarian failure and ovarian antagonism syndrome: Hypergonadotropic amenorrhea caused by ovarian failure that occurs before the age of 40 is called premature ovarian failure, which accounts for about 20% to 28% of primary amenorrhea and 4% to 20% of secondary amenorrhea.

(3) Polycystic ovary syndrome: often manifested as amenorrhea or infrequent menstruation, long-term anovulation, excessive androgen, and no cyclical fluctuation of estrogen. It is currently a major cause of anovulatory infertility.

(4) Unruptured luteinized syndrome: In a normal menstrual cycle or a drug-induced ovulation cycle, an ovarian follicle develops into a dominant follicle, but the follicle does not disappear or continues to grow 48 hours after the LH peak during ovulation, and persists for several days. The granulosa cells have become luteinized, but the follicle has not ruptured.

Suggestions: It is recommended that you go to a specialist hospital for a detailed examination, a clear diagnosis, and symptomatic treatment. Do not miss the best time for treatment.
