What kind of stomach pain may be related to gastric cancer? What needs to be watched out for is stomach pain accompanied by other symptoms.

A friend named Xiao Ding told Hua Zi that he had been having a dull stomach ache for the past few months, he didn't like to eat much, and he lost a lot of weight, so he was worried that he had some "bad disease". Xiao Ding asked Hua Zi if the constant stomach pain was related to stomach cancer? What kind of pain would it be if he had stomach cancer?

Huazi told Xiaoding that although stomach cancer can manifest as stomach pain, not all stomach pain is related to stomach cancer, so don't "believe everything you hear" and don't add psychological burden to yourself. The stomach is separated from the belly and cannot be seen from the outside, so if you want to see if there is any problem with the stomach, you need to do a gastroscopy.

1. Why does our stomach get cancer? Our stomach is the "first stop" for external food to enter the human body. Therefore, most stomach diseases are related to diet. In fact, it can be simply understood that stomach diseases are caused by eating. For example, if you often eat foods that are too irritating, too hard, difficult to digest, etc., which are harmful to the stomach, it will directly stimulate the stomach wall and cause damage to the stomach wall.

When the stomach wall cells are proliferating and repairing, they may mutate and turn into cancer cells. A small number of cancer cells can be cleared by the human immune system, but if the stomach wall is chronically damaged for a long time, the stomach wall cells will generate more cancer cells during the process of repeated proliferation. When the immune system is too late to clear them, cancer will form.

Many factors can increase the risk of gastric cancer, including nitrosamines in pickled foods, heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in grilled foods, tar and nicotine in smoke, ethanol in wine, food contaminated by fungi, Helicobacter pylori infection, family heredity, vitamin deficiency, etc.

2. What kind of stomach pain may be related to gastric cancer? The most common symptom of gastric cancer is stomach pain. In the early stages of gastric cancer, there are usually only symptoms of stomach discomfort, bloating, heaviness in the stomach, and stomach pain. The symptoms are similar to those of indigestion, gastritis, gastric ulcers, and other diseases, and are easily overlooked. If it is the latter, the symptoms can be relieved after paying attention to diet and conditioning; if it is gastric cancer, the symptoms will progressively worsen. Especially if the pain is accompanied by other symptoms, you need to be vigilant.

1. Weight loss and fatigue: Frequent stomach pain, eating very little, easy feeling of fullness, loss of appetite, and significant weight loss in a short period of time.

2. Black stool: Black or tarry stool when you have stomach pain indicates bleeding in the stomach.

3. Rebound pain: If you press your upper abdomen with your hands and suddenly lift it up, it will cause pain, which may indicate peritoneal irritation.

4. Radiating pain: Severe stomach pain that radiates to the lower back and back indicates that the nerves and lymphatic tissues around the stomach may be affected.

5. Nausea and vomiting: Frequent stomach pain accompanied by nausea and vomiting indicates that there may be gastric obstruction or gastric dysfunction.

3. Early screening for high-risk groups: People over 40 years old who meet any of the following conditions are recommended to undergo early screening for gastric cancer.

1. Living in an area with a high incidence of gastric cancer.

2. Infected with Helicobacter pylori.

3. Patients with a history of precancerous diseases of the stomach, such as chronic atrophic gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric polyps, residual stomach after surgery, hypertrophic gastritis, pernicious anemia, etc.

4. There is a family history of gastrointestinal tumors.

5. The presence of high-risk factors for gastric cancer, such as high-salt intake, pickled food, smoking, and heavy drinking.

The main method for screening early gastric cancer is gastroscopy, combined with serum carcinoembryonic antigen determination, fecal occult blood test, gastric juice analysis and other tests. If you are unable or unwilling to undergo gastroscopy, you can also screen through ultrasound, CT, barium X-ray and other methods.

4. Healthy diet is the fundamental way to prevent gastric cancer. Most gastric cancers are related to diet, so paying attention to healthy diet can prevent the occurrence of gastric cancer. For example, choosing more fruits and vegetables containing vitamins and dietary fiber, whole grains; eating less red meat, not eating processed meat products; reducing the intake of salt in the diet, not eating moldy processed grains and bean products, can reduce the occurrence of gastric cancer.

In daily life, you should also stay away from high-calorie foods, it is best not to drink sugary drinks, maintain your weight and exercise regularly, quit smoking and limit alcohol, and maintain a regular schedule, which are all good ways to prevent gastric cancer.

Finally, we should be more vigilant about stomach pain accompanied by other symptoms, but not all stomach pain is related to gastric cancer. It is also important to maintain an optimistic mood and not to worry about it, which is also important for cancer prevention. If you feel stomach discomfort, the most correct thing to do is to go to the hospital to see a doctor for a detailed examination.
